I Launched A Genius Biz Idea - But How Do I Crush Copycats?

If you had a first-of-its-kind Instagram page concept (that no one has done before and the entire world, specifically North America is a wide open blue ocean with zero competition) and it has high demand...

How would you approach it in terms of marketing/expansion?

My biggest fear is other copycats or even worse, other copycats with MORE money to out-market me

Its a city-by-city concept. So you open an IG page for each city.

Therefore, I launched the page in my city a couple weeks ago and already have tons of followers & high demand. Now I want to expand to all the other cities.

How do I monopolize the market (the other top 50 cities in North America) before another bigger player with money comes in and copies me taking all my potential market share?

I already had a smaller guy try to copy me in another city, but I know as I expand.. there will be bigger guys copying since it's fairly easy to launch (not super easy as it's not some meme page, but it's launch-able).

My question is - What do you suggest I do in order to launch & dominate the other top 50 cities with this concept fast before getting ran over by a bigger player with more resources who copies me? I'm considering raising capital or doing some sort of national partnership strategy (Having a partner in each city running it for me etc)

Do your thing, forget about the competition. If you are better than them, you deserve to win and you will win. Otherwise, you don't deserve to win, and it would be a misfortune, that would be harmful to you as well as them if you were to somehow win.

Customer results are all that matter.

Focus on what you are doing, and have a unique twist, voice or angle that you are promoting or marketing. You will never be able to 'stop' competition from forming, or copying you especially in a lucrative field with minimal / low barrier of entry (i.e. instagram).

The best angle of attack is to have something in there proprietary to you doing the best job on there. Only you know what that can be and how you can improve and expand on that.

Find a way to roll out faster before the big money sees what's going on.

There's also a chance they just won't care.

Being unique or better doesn't matter if someone else can outspend you... so if you can soak up the market and the dollars before serious competition enters you'll be better placed to survive when/if they do.

If it's managing social media, can you create some SOPs and hire VAs to do the donkey work?

Have amazing service, layout and design as the more convenient your system is the more people would prefer your company over a competitors
