This is excellent! I like how it doesn't venture into that realm of "I used to be able to say horrible words to people and now I can't, F&$* this PC stuff!" that invalidates so many other arguments. Best said by Jordan Peterson, (paraphrased) It's equal opportunity we should be striving for, not equal outcomes.

Great post. It's something that has been on my mind for a long time.

An excellent book on the subject is "Equal Is Unfair" by Don Watkins.

One thing they touch on in the book is that the only equality that should exist is Political Equality. What they mean by this is that the laws of the country should apply to everyone equally. There shouldn't be special laws or exemptions for certain groups of people. Everyone must abide by the exact same laws.
From there everything else in life is un-equal. And that's fair.

I tend to agree with this view.

What are your thoughts?

Yes great book.

We should have equality of opportunity, NOT equality of outcome which many want today.

We're all equally valuable as human beings in the universe, but we're not all the same.

We're more than just monetary value.
