I put in my notice for my job of 3 years today. Talk about nervous. My heart was racing, and I was sure it was going to be a huge ordeal, but surprisingly it wasn't. My boss was understanding and told me they wish they had the courage to do something similar when they were my age. Eye opening to say the least. We sat and talked for about an hour that led to them suggesting I do some freelance work for them after I officially leave. Win in my book. It doesn't hurt that I was almost never late, only called in once in my 3 years, and always met my deadlines. All that nervousness and anxiety was for nothing. I prepared, and this was why. To be blunt I feel powerful as f*ck right now. As if I could punch through a brick wall or something.

If I could pass any little advice to someone who wants to quit their job; Don't just quit because of an emotion. Have a plan. Have savings. Get your hustle started before you quit, bet on yourself, and know that you have no control over anything, but yourself.

Since I last posted, I had just hit 1k subs on Youtube, and was in talks with my potential second client.

Happy to say I hit the 2K subscriber mark this month (slow growth but steady $200/month), still have the first client, landed the second I mentioned before, and have a meeting with a third. Narrowed my business model to just video and consultation work and oddly have been able to charge more for doing less.

Time to get to work.

Congrats on the big move.

And I agree, don't quit on emotion -- which is an event. Quit with a plan, or better, a revenue income plan.
