Hello friends, this is my first day in the forum (first 10 minutes), and I want to share my experience with you mainly because I am desperate as f.. But also I think my story is kinda funny if you think about it.
My name's Michael, you can call me Z. I am a 19y old Brazilian and I learned every single word I am typing to you guys by myself, in other words I self-taught myself English by watching 40 (approximated) movies and only 10 actual classes, so if my english sounds like sh@t, that is the reason. (This is not relevant nor a great accomplishment yet, but it will be important later on)
When I was a kid, I actually hated money, like I just wanted to be an inventor and study physics 24/7, but as I grow older I couldn't help but see my family getting destroyed over it. So that is the reason I started studying about things that could make me money, or so I thought. I have never had guidance up until now, every single book I read or ever saw (Including the Fastlane) I either bought it on Amazon using money I got working on the streets or found a way to read it.
After 1 year reading as much books as you can possibly imagine (3 books+ a week), I couldn't apply all of them. But I got an opportunity if you can call it that, my cousin, who studied marketing, offered me to work for him in a job that he wouldn't pay me but he would teach me all he knew. So I did work with him and learned well some concepts that I actually didn't know shit about, and probably still don't, but I showed up everyday and it was probably useful for giving me discipline.
But, I HAVE NEVER MADE ANY MONEY FOR MYSELF TO THIS DAY. I have been able to sell on his company, but I never made any of the actual work to do so... It's complicated. My current situation is: I learned about prompt engineering, some marketing principles, SEO, Video Editing, CS Basics, English in like 4 months or less, Spanish in even less time, copywriting, html/css/js, wordpress, python (mainly for webscraping purposes), AND I STILL AM NOT ABLE TO MAKE SHIT. I don't get it, it seems like everyone is so F*cking smarter than me... My latest project is on clickfunnels(found a work that can give me money to pay it), building 2 smartwatch offers: One targetting busy people who want to have a better health and better organize their life (offer consists of ebook on time management, the watch, 120% money guarantee, cashback for students and parents, a rushed shipping order bump, upsell on same but more), and the other is for fitness purposes like people who want to run a marathon or who swim, (offer consists on the smartwatch, an ebook on nutrition and dieting designed to substitute a nutritionist session for most people including many things, cashback for anyone who posts with the watch on the gym, the same 120% guarantee, same upsell and same order bump), And before you ask, I even got to read books on time management and nutrition to craft these.
I simply don't get it. It always lacks something. I always get way more ideas than I could possibly execute... And this makes me think I am always on the wrong path, that I should F*ck off with this physical product stuff and build a course where I explain something I learned, but I never feel like I am providing enough value to people. To make matters worse, Even tho my SEO/Paid Traffic skills can maybe enable to just put an ad there and hope for the best, I don't even got money to do so. I literally don't know what the F*ck to do, what type of content to create (Storytelling videos like the new ad from Apple? How to videos? Reviews and Comparisons? UCG?...) I could do any of these things with AI and video editing, or even recording myself. I just feel like there is never enough value there and I keep building and building and don't get nowhere.
I am basically too dumb to do anything and too smart to give up on learning I guess...
What do you guys think? Since I am young I should focus on learning more? Learn to build a proper SaaS with C or Bubble, Learn AI... (There are books/courses/tutorials on my list on these topics because I like it an it can be useful), OR I should do something whatever and see how the world reacts to this? Or even worse, Should I just study enough to a test and go to college? (Here in Brazil, college is free once you pass on a test, and they even cover the costs of life, but I would definitely have to give up my ideas to study like 6h/day and I don't want that anymore..)
If any of you guys can laugh on the comments or give me some insight, it would be very helpful.
