Hi Fastlaners/entrepreneurs,
I need your advice, help and to be honest some motivation to keep going because I think I am in the so called 'Desert' period that the books of MJ descibred perfectly. I don't post this because you have to feel sorry for me. Please don't feel that way because maybe it looks like I am complaining but I know some people are working even harder (Mad respect!).
I a nutshell: I took a customer service job for 30+ hours at a government department to pay for bills but I absolutely hate the job and it drains my soul more and more. The good news: Before I took the job one month ago, I was working almost every day on my two online product for a few months. The first one is ready to launch and the second one is 80% ready so I need a few weeks more. But after 4 weeks of my dreadful job, I am starting to see some troubling signs mentally and physically... It is not my work ethic or discipline. Whenever I am free and at home, I am working on my business and on most days it gives me energy but the long hours at my job are killing me. I am working all day behind a computer screen and I am sitting all day (at my job and also for my business). I am literally feeling my nerves like never before, getting more headaches, I feel exhausted, stressed, can't sleep very well and am feeling depressed.
Not that I am gonna quit with working on my company tho, no never! The pain of living the script and work 50 years as a slave to the system is WAY more painful so no I will keep going with my business. I am also pretty close to launch my first product!
The thing I would love to change is my current job. I get it, as long as my business doesn't generate €2.000+ in profits I can't quit completely but I am thinking about switching jobs so I can cut some hours to work more on my business so I actually can get out of the system faster.
So my first question for people who have experience from a similiar situation before you got succesful. What did you? How was your week scheduled? Did you have one day off in the week to reset and gain energy? How did you work hard but also preserved your health?
My second question: What kind of jobs are really great for entrepreneurs in this beginning stage? My current job pays a few euro's per hour more but the working hours are not flexibele at all.
My last question is about product launches. Something I don't have experience in yet but I am studiying the book 'Launch' right now. The great news is, I built a Youtube channel in my niche in my native language and currently I have around 6.500 subs and the views per video are now always above 1k+. So I have a marketing channel ready for the launch! The bad part? Everyone including the books are telling me that I need an e-mail list first before I launch.
Is this true? I have a Discord Community in my niche that is ready to launch, but are there ways to launch it succesfully by following a 100% Youtube strategy? Or do you highly suggest building an e-mail list first for the coming one-two months? I would love to launch as soon as possible to get the first €2.000 in profits but of course the launch has to be succesful enhough to actually gain the first customers.
Thank you so much in advance. There is a good chance that by replying, you give me the motivation to change my life.
