Yes, the way Fanocks2003 puts it, creates the impression that it is his own story. Confusing and not correct towards the actual author.

I really don't think that was fanocks intent.

fanocks seems like a pretty successful guy-- he doesn't seem like the type to steal somebody else's stuff.

I think it's just a "learn the rules" kinda thing.
