This is somewhat of a progress thread along with my notes that i would like to share on here...
My Affiliate Website Strategy -
I've gained a good amount of experience building websites and making them for others. Now during my downtime between sales I built an affiliate website so I can have a better understanding of how to drive traffic to the number of different pages and how to improve traffic numbers and hope to make some money on the side. This will be a good lesson for me and hopefully my notes and progress will help others understand how to gain web presence and dominate their own niche.
Different Types of Strategies to gain Traffic
Organic Traffic (SEO) - This one is not cut and dry, it's actually a combination of several different factors that can get you ahead of the competition on the internet.. There's tons of information about SEO and how can you really optimize the site. However, the biggest thing that I've noticed is that there is no short-cut to SEO, you have to make quality content because eventually the 'shortcuts' today will be penalized by google and You'll be hanging dry where people who really put the time an effort in their pages will succeed. I know this is a topic that is brought up in the forum a lot, but I'm hoping to simplify the information to make sure it's easy to follow and understand.
Paid Traffic ( PPC/AdWords) - Keep in mind, this is traffic that you pay for… If you stop paying this traffic will drop off the face of the earth. Just keep in mind that the money you put in the Ad accounts HAVE to be less than what you're making. Focus on having a Positive Return on Investment before even expanding or adding more to your AdWords Campaigns. The biggest thing about this, is you can have traffic pouring into your site starting immediately. Just keep in mind on how much you're spending and make sure it doesn’t drain your pockets.
Direct Traffic - Which is direct links, for example. I posted the link to my affiliate website on the inside if someone was curious and decided to click on the link, that would be considered as an direct link. So if I went ahead and posted my website on Reddit, Pinterest, Quora, and Wikipedia and somone decided to share that link elsewhere and still clicked on the link to my site, it still will be classified as Direct Traffic.
Right now my site is floating at around 6-10 visitors a day ever since it launced, as shown below It started on June 22nd.. So I want to improve traffic to this site
I've already done some SEO which I will elaborate on soon! Also, This site still needs more quality content along with proper social media updates.
