Hey fastlaners, this is the second part of my first question about standing desks. Do any of you have experience using gaming chairs for alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods of time? They seem pretty comfortable overall with more lumbar and neck support.

I got my bf an Omega Secret Lab for his bday two years ago and he loves it. For the record he's a developer and plays on pc as well. He can recline it, the handles for the arms go up and down but you can also change the angle so you can rest your elbows but go 45 degrees into the keyboard. It comes with cushion for the head that you can take on or off, and one for the lumbar region as well. Excellent fabric quality. Expensive AF but no regrets, I'm happy I got it for him.

Gaming chairs are really comfortable, yes.

But consider this. Comfortable chairs lead people to sit for longer periods of time. Sitting for long periods of time is shown to cause drastic health effects over the long term. A simple Google will return dozens of studies that have confirmed this.

If you look at the high-end ergonomic chairs, they're not particularly comfortable. That's for a good reason. They encourage you to move around and sit in different postures.

I have the HAG Capisco. It's very comfortable in any position for 30-45 minutes. After that, you will want to switch it up.

So I guess the question is, comfort or health? I don't blame you if you choose comfort. Most people do.
