When launching a product, for example video series with educational videos, or anything written, that's of value, or anything else that could be downloaded (can also just be an interactive website, what would you guys say is the better route to take:
A) Make it available for free, and monetize on the traffic you get (ads, etc.)
for example upload the educational videos on youtube
launch a blog
or B) Make it available as a paid service. Either pay per download, or subscription, etc.
for example creating a website where users pay for downloading the videos
or sign up for a monthly fee and get access to the content
or instead of launching a blog you publish a book
or course for either one of them you could own the entire platform or utilize an existing platform. (upload to youtube, or make your own youtube like service; make your own website where people can pay and download, or use an existing service like skillshare; self publish your book, or publish through amazon, or similar)
What do you guys think is the best route to go? Or is there a mix between the two that seems most promising?
Does anyone have direct experience?
