Yes. Actually it's quite complicated. Not that I don't make the first sale. I did, but with much more Lost than what I made after running the fb ads. Perhaps, it's pretty much the same failures I faced, spent to much on ads until I lost too much with debts and had to go back to 9-5 to cover up all the credit cards overdues.. Learnt a lot. But still ain't givin up and not ever gonna givin up. Just perhaps any wisdom for me to take back as a golden nugget to get back up and keep pushin, grindin till I made it to my dream freedom from 9-5. Thanks a million, andy.

First when me and my brother started, we sell trending products like a whitening facial as a dropshipper. Where we got sales from a proven viral fb ads (from the video the company provided-we just tested it and change the music and edit a little bit) . Until the cost break even and we stopped.

Then we tried pillow, bedrooms products until it got viral for bad marketing becausw we did bad comparison with a famous pillow company in my country. Then we stopped.

But tried again, this time by helping people. By being their freelance marketer. They give me some capital to start running fb ads and I helped them sold pretty okay. Its a children's book comic with a video. Until the cost of fb ads raise up again. I had to stopped. Before it gets worse. #lost for the company.

Then I work.. But just trying to get back to the business grindin as part time. Bought a lot of courses. Until I found one that might change my life. Its tony and dean graziosi's product. Selling digital products.

So I tried to build my own course, and tested it in FB ads again. Thank God it made few sales!. But the cost got higher and made me lost and in debts for the credit cards which used to finance the FB ads again. Its a digital product called 'true talent' (i found from a book just edit the formulae and try to make my own product) . Trying to teach executives to find their true talent and make money out of it.

Tried to follow up the customers but they don't reply back. Just blueticked me.

Then, I felt my product might be hard to sell.

So next, I tried to sell other people's product again with my brother. It's a product selling digital product, which is selling canva templates and teaching people how to make money online. My brother did made sales. But with lost or almost breakeven. Because he followed the course (he bought it first and then implement it)

Since I just quit my job, and my digital product has nowhere to be sold to.. Means no income, I had to use the database my brothrr had when he run the fb ads at lost. I tried to follow up them using the testimonials that the company have given(which is the company selling canva templates and teaching marketing, make money online).

To be surprise, we got sales! But we charged much higher.

But its just the cost are getting higher for the fb ads again. Made us.. Failed again. Once again.. All those happened in like almost 10 years.

And now I'm behind all my commitments, waiting for the job application to work in another country to settle my debts.

Right now before goin to the interview this Monday, Me and my brother still grinding in for our last hope using our last threshold for fb ads and try to implement whatever we have learnt, by selling the digital product about making side income using just whatsapp.. Via webinar live using Russell branson expert book startegy which is to run ads and gather them in a group whatsapp community and then make a live webinar presentation next thursday and pitch to make sale. (that's our last hope)

Selling Canva templates sounds like it could be good. All the other stuff looks like money chasing. I wouldn't sell products on how to make money online if I've not made money online yet.

If you don't have the money to buy FB ads then don't get deeper into the hole by continuing to run them?

Saying you don't have time to market organically is a mistake imo. Marketing is where you find out what people want to buy and how to sell it to them. Get your hands dirty and get into 1-2-1 conversations with people.

I'm currently struggling about three things.
1. I like to plan and be organized, but it is hard to plan actions to a goal I've never achieved. I want to earn €300k a month. How do I know how to structure the milestones and individual intermediate goals? I can only guess, but a plan built on guesswork doesn't sound convincing.
I also wonder in which program to create such an action plan. It seems to me that a Gantt chart is an appropriate tool.

2 I wonder what value to give to people. I don't know how to program, do graphics, do marketing, etc. So I thought about an online shop in a dropshipping model (because I don't have any capital at the moment) or with digital products
(My situation is delicately described in the welcome post: INTRO - Introduction, from Poland, working in Netherlands)

So I am looking for products to trade.
Some say I should do what I love, others say I should look where there is already an audience and still others say I should sell seasonal products.
Each way seems right.

Overall, my plan at the moment is that I would like to set up an online shop or otherwise make money online to break out of my full-time job. It is important for me to be able to run my business absolutely remotely as I am just entering the business world and I want to be mobile. I want to be able to travel to places where people with money are - to learn, to explore, to broaden my horizons, to be inspired. The online shop would cover travel, accommodation, food and fund my next business ideas.
Am I thinking right?

3. I have an idea in my head for something great. But all I have is an idea. Everything else requires specialists in other fields and investors, because the project would definitely be expensive.
The problem: I have no idea how to go about it, or whether to go about it at all, since ultimately the only thing I can contribute to the project is just an idea. I could manage this project in the future, but who would want to create this project with me if I don't have the programming skills, money or knowledge of the subject matter...?

I work full-time, on a junk agency contract in the Netherlands, earning just above the national minimum wage.
2) What do people already come to you for help with?
They want me to explain to them, the more advanced features of Android, iOS or Windows. They want me to help them find motorbike gear or advise them on it. They want to practice riding a motorbike with me. My sister thinks I am good at looking after her young children when she needs my help. They want me to play a good party as a DJ. They want me to help them find a good TV, phone, headphones, etc. to buy online.
3) If someone had a gun to your head and said you need to make a sale this week then what would you do?
I would sell something I have at home.
I've thought about making short children's stories in video or ebook form, where I would also sell advice for parents, but I don't think I could manage to embrace that in a week.
4) If money was no object what work would you be doing?
I would like to make humans an interplanetary species. So I would get involved in things like life extension, brain-computer interface, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, building centers capable of keeping humans alive in space, psychology of a new species, methods of communication with alien civilizations, etc.

And if someone expects a more down-to-earth answer then I would be involved in traveling, learning languages, psychology, educating children, making music, playing parties, dancing and playing lots of sports.
But the truth is (as I mentioned in the Introduction) I don't know life and I'm sure there are plenty of exciting things in this world I could be involved with.

I work 7 days a week as a Security Guard, making barely above minimum wage. Split rent with my wife.


Have professional photos taken of me working out. Develop a simple landing page with testimonials and a clear CTA with one-click checkout. Paid ads leading to the landing page.


At least once a week in the gym I have someone coming up to me and complimenting my shape or asking for advice. Oftentimes more than once a week.


I'd be bodybuilding full-time. Competing in bodybuilding competitions and the grind it is to get in stage-ready shape. Spending time with my wife and dog. Enjoying some sunshine. Good food. Relaxing. Reading. Helping my parents financially. Quality time with my family. Maybe an occasional excursion to somewhere tropical a few times a year. Sounds like heaven...

Yet again. Same story for me. I don't feel ready yet. Still want to give it 2 years time or so.

If people come out to you for training help why dont you monetize it? Do your security job for a specific hours and later become a trainers, this will increase the cash flow dont you think?

Hmmm, well, not much unfortunately. Although sometimes people who know me (from work too) often ask me for some travel advice on destinations and day trips to visit because they know I like to go around.

I'd probably start doing cold DMs as much as possible. Thing is i still don't have that much followers or viewers who engage in my content and seem that they'd pay for it. My social media also is pretty much still targeting my own home country which doesn't have much purchasing power, and even when people do have money, its spent on material purchases over travel.

4) If money was no object what work would you be doing?

I'd write cool travel guides for places I'm visiting around the world. Maybe even invested in a few extra aesthetics and build a brand around it!

Don't shoot yourself in the foot before you try. Just because you don't have the money doesn't mean that they don't. Also, think about taking credit cards. A smartphone and Square can fix you up.

I usually buy heavy equipment and such from Jan 15th through the first of April. It's the nadir of the winter and I save up for that moment. Why Jan 15th. That's when people start to get sober and they get their Christmas bills. I get some pretty good buys during those days. I'm always amazed at the stuff people are willing to sell during the depth of the winter.

And by the way -- I don't drink. I have had health problems all of my adult life and it's not worth getting sick over having a drink. And I have a clear mind with no hangovers!

I’ve been following Lex’s thread „making $2k in a month” with the main purpose of understanding, learning and ultimately leveraging the idea of creating a website to launch products in a short amount of time. Absolutely valueable thread!

Normally creating a product is an easier task for me, unfortunately not “a line of product”, scalable to 50+ products.

I am too hung up on the idea of building something I can expand on, rather than creating multiple products for different niches.

I am not too eager to get a sale in as quick as possible, but getting a sale in a structured launch of digital products.

Many concerns still surround the market research I’ve done for "my most skilled niches", mainly music and fitness. Those niches seem long-game.

Currently, my niche is finances.

How viable is it to choose a common problem among niches and “copy-paste” and change the neccesary information compared to aiming for those niches and focusing on one problem?

Am I too overcomplicating the idea?

You can start with a similar setup and test how it goes? Once you find something that works then it's probably best to dig deeper into that niche/problem.

I will do that.
Testing ideas out seems to be much more effective than trying to come up with potential ideas.
