Hey Fastlaner,
For reference, I'm 24 and run an info product business using social media as a traffic point. I won't waste too much time explaining the details but it was a slow grind.
My biggest month last year was 32k cash collected with about 85% margins then it plummet down to 26k. Now I average 10-15k/month now without pushing sales or marketing as much as what I used to.
You can go to my old thread to see how I've been at this survival stage of wantrepreneur for years and only recently gotten out of it. (don't have to but it'll be bread crumbs for anyone else new starting out)
But that's where the dilemma lies. I don't feel the burning anger I used to feel early on. If anything, I feel abit lost. I was the saddest when I hit my highest month because habits, lifestyle, or even mindset wise I felt the same.
The "wow you're a big guy now" expectation was there for like 2 days and then I realize damn I don't feel a thing.
Hindsight, I pedestalized "making it" and when I finally got out of my hole I guess I was asking myself "that's it?". It's like playing a video game and wanting to beat it and then realize at the end you wish you could just forget the ending to experience the game again.
Mind you I don't think doing 15-30k is alot. I know a lot of you guys do more and will continue to do so. That's what got me to write this thread after being on hiatus for so long.
For anyone who's doing 30k-100k +/mo, what keeps you going? What is your why? Have you ever lost touch with it when you started to make more money?
There's this idea that I've wrote to myself that I might have a mild sense of comfort in barely making it or being in "survival mode".
What happen after you get out of survival mode? When you can work on anything and realize you will never go broke again, what kept you going beyond nihilism?
@Johnny boy love to hear your thoughts brother. It's been a while since I tag you but honestly, I started this whole adventure reading your thread many moons ago
feel free to call me out on my beliefs and expand on how in the grand scheme of things I'm not thinking long term enough
