Hi everyone,
I'm posting this because I find myself in a situation of uncertainty and doubt.
I've been doing research for a while now:
I looked for cases of product based businesses sold in Argentina, that were started with a small sum (let's say 5k) and were acquired in around 10 years after the foundation for a big chunk of money.
The thing is, I practically didn't find any case that meet those requirements.
So that brought me to think about moving abroad and start from scratch but at least with the hope (probability) that if I work my a$$ off correctly for around decade there's a chance to sell.
I know, maybe I'm thinking about this very soon, but my position is that I wouldn't like to work hard on something there's not even one case of success to compare myself and my situation with (in my country).
Even more, the amount of cases that meet those requirements in developed countries it's outstandingly big in comparison. A great part of them also are immigrants.
Of course, this doesn't mean fastlane strategies don't work here, they do everywhere. But I don't know if the exit part of it occurs as fast and as probably as in "first world" countries.
I remember discussing this with my cousin, he owns a polyethylene tubing factory here, I shared these thoughts with him one time and he told me it's really hard, not common at all, to sell a company here.
By the way, the company was inherited from my grandparent and uncle, as it's very unusual to find entrepreneurs that made it all from scratch and still young.
So, what do you think? Any advice or resources to facilitate this decision? Do you agree with this or not?
Share your thoughts, I'd be interested and glad to read them.
I'll report my decision in the future, but I first need to get more info. This place is maybe the best way to do that .
Thank you!
