I would have considered the cost of my time + gas as cheap for the mentoring you are getting.
I would want to succeed that much.... But that is my mindset
The right choice was made based on the financial situation and road time. This is a building company from scratch, no investors or banks. So every bit of time and expense has to be factored. Its not there yet. One day at a time.

@Ericito You're doing a great job of taking feedback and improving. Great job. I know this thread can be tough on you sometimes, but keep it up.
Yes it tough, but if that is what it takes, its worth its weight in gold. Hopefully there will be some gold some day. Now its just copper...lol.

Sounds like the average and consistent comments that come from the majority.
Not sure about the hummus. Is that is a joke, hinting to making a vegan cheesecake.
NY Style has the citrus flavor which is common.
But overall, the comment are pretty good.
Now what was your personal opinion? Not sure who you are in the post.

Customer experience:
without forum, would have given up and gone to someone else.
with forum, about as expected. Eric got it done and hopefully learned a lot.

Eric, that feedback looks great. There's a place in NYC that ships cheesecakes successfully (Junior's). Anything about their process that you could imitate?

Thank you sir. Glad you and all had a good experience.
Definitely a learning experience. Must find a better shipping method.
Along with better customer service.
Thank you very much

Hummus?.....maybe one day, but modified completely.

Juniors is huge and they have a specially designed box for all their shipments. I did have a (1) great designed box l was trying out for a while. Shipping to different customers, and having it shipped back at no cost to them. However, one customer, who l was reluctant to try it with, but was strongly asked to do so, actually threw the box away. That literally destroyed my trial. I have not been able to find that box, nor does the company make it anymore, as far as l know. I would like to know their process. But also the dry ice purchasing is another issue. 1 across store in town sells it. I am working on the regular shipping process.

On another note....It was an honor to have Juniors Cheesecake like one of my pictures on Instagram. To have that was getting an Academy Award. The are the Godfather of Cheesecake in NYC. So that was a great motivator.
Im finally getting the recognition that l missed out on years ago. It feels nice.juniorlike.jpg

Yes. Erics Cheesecakes 8" are 4 lbs also, except the Red Velvet & Cream because of the cake layers.
Dry ice is used to ship, at some cost. But yes it is definitely a part of the process with shipping. Cant do any other method.
Just have to have to right shipping container to use for shipping. May have to design it myself and hopefully get UPS involved along with Sealed Air Company who designed the first one. So we will see how it works out. I will definitely need the proper shipping boxes for my newer frozen delights. We shall see.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Yes. This what has been happening. I am corp-orating myself.
Working on something big. Will let you know when it happens.
Thanks for checking up on me.

Unsolicited feedback on image:
Gaussian blur on the globe background, 58% drop shadow on the yellow text with Distance set to 0px. Possibly get a simplified illustration of the cheesecakes behind the city so as to not compete visually with other images in your background. Same drop shadow effect on the city so it pushes the vector image off the page.

Sorry, I just had to..

No problem. Thanks. This is more of a statement and new way of life, then just a post.
Thanks for doing what you just had to...

Every so often someone posts here and reminds me why I hire professionals for certain tasks. You might as well be speaking another language!

Certainly kept me busy on Google for a few minutes.

Me at next douchey Cocktail Party: "I love this photo, but it could really benefit from a Gaussian blur to soften the edges." [Lifts pinky as I drink]

Ok. Im speaking the language based on personal experience. You may not understand it, unless you lived it, but it has true meaning.
Thanks for the opinion.

Not sure what came off in my reply as rude, but I certainly didn't mean it (I was in awe, genuinely). My apologies. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding you?

No trust me, it was not rude to me. So on offense taken. Actually it was a more of a compliment taken, then it was even noticed or understood.
So thanks for the support.

You need to outsource your graphic design.

I can't tell if you're trolling or actually think that image is acceptable.

And I don't mean to be rude, but it's evident that graphic design is not your strong suit.

I have to agree ... The whole thing looks 'flat', there's too much text and everything screams for the same amount of attention...
