Ok, MJ..... I had drinks with an attorney friend of mine, back in PHL, over the weekend. I mentioned our issue with the SEC regulations and, although he made it very clear that this was not his 'area of expertise' he suggested that in order to keep everything up to snuff, we would have to figure out a way to make the forum (or portion of the forum) private. The big issue seems to be public solicitation so if we can avoid that, we will take at least one step in the right direction. He mentioned requiring a password, etc.... but if anyone can walk in and sign up and get themselves a password, is that not still public?

He also stated, as you suggested, that there would need to be a pretty serious disclaimer. Btw, not just for our sake but yours as well... apparently, people could confuse your hosting these discussions, as your being partially responsible. Unreal, huh?

So I looked around and tried to find a similar website, with such a disclaimer. Here is the best example I could find.

I am sure that even with these precautions, there is still a risk. Everyone loves a lawsuit these days... how unfortunate. It does seem; however, that for all of our sakes, we might want to put something in place. My concern now is not so much for me, as someone looking to make a deal, but for you, as our host.

Let me know if I can do anything to help facilitate this process.
