Big companies have lots of money, lots of customers and lots of employed people. All of that prevents smaller companies from actually getting a piece of the cake.
How do you knock the big company off the throne? Even if you make something unique, the big company can just steal it (be it a product or business model).
Say you start selling bolts and screws (those who've read JackEdward's diary will understand, lol), and there's this established company who does the same thing. They're in all stores. What do I do to win?
I mean sure, I could ask some store managers to buy my product (is that how it works in the business world?) and put it on the shelves, but why would anybody buy my screws over the big company's screws?
