Clicking Affiliate Links

If you are reading an article or you're on a blog, do you normally click the affiliate links that are part of the post? Let's say somebody is reviewing a camera, would you buy that camera through that link? Or would you manually search it just so you don't give the owner of the blog more money?

I usually click the link if the website or blog has genuinely helped me out. If I see that the website is dishonest or not up to my standards, I'd take the extra step of typing the item in manually without the affiliate URL.

Why do you ask?

Simply put, some people follow links, whilst others may prefer to do further research.

It's also not something most shoppers concern themselves with. They just want to find the best camera for their needs, they aren't worried about the website owner.

Sometimes I click, sometimes I dont. Really depends on how badly I want it in the moment...

I agree, sometimes I'm lazy and I just click it. It's just something I've noticed over the years that people plug in affiliate links everywhere, not a good or bad thing, just an observation.

I tend to check links to see if the really go where they claim to go, before I click them. If it's an affiliate link I'll probably still click it, unless the referring site is extraordinarily spammy or annoying in some way.
