Web Site Aggregating Govt. Data (Executive Orders, Bill statuses, Hearings, Testimonies, etc)

I hate the media, so every time there is an article on

  • Senate hearings (sound bites)
  • Controversial Bills
  • Executive Orders
  • Etc...

It is such a pain the a$$ to go from the article, straight to said topic's source.

First I have to find the right site (senate.gov, whiteshouse.gov, etc.).
Then, the sites themselves suck!

Finding past hearings is a pain in the a$$ too and nothing is organized well.

I want to bypass the media filter and go straight to the sources.

So is aggregating and organizing all of the data so I don't have to dig through different websites just to find what I'm looking for, worth pursing?

I actually would love this myself - scratching my own itch - but I want to know if anyone else suffers from this frustration?

I actually had similar thoughts about this to yours. Maybe more general. Whenever I read articles online I`m not sure anymore if I can trust what is being said. My guess is that many people don't believe anymore what is being said in the media. Would be great to have a Chrome extension for example to fact-check an article. Or come up with a truly reliable source that is 100% thrustworthy.

Great idea
Also link to medical or scientific "studies" the media uses so you can scroll ALLLLLL the way down to the bottom of the study to find out that that big scary headline the media just used on you ? Based off a sample size of n=4.

Great idea. Reasoning from source materials might cure many of our societal ails.
