Hi everyone,
I am building an online course about stock picking for beginners in my native language. Not just an online course but I want to build the best one in my native country and language.
I have a very different view on stock picking than a lot of other people. I fully agree with the books of MJ on investing. Investing a few hundred bucks in etf's for 40+ years won't make you rich.
Nontheless, I see great value in some unique investing strategies that can help as an extra growth engine. Especially for entrepreneurs or high earners who can invest more money. If you know what you do, long-term stock picking is a great skill that does not require a lot of time but can make a lot more freedom soldiers than a bank account could do. My total portfolio return over 2025 was 24% which actually was my 3rd worst year since 2019 (I am not complaining tho).
Back to my questions. I would love to learn from you about your experiences with building an launching an online course.
Here is some information about my course that helps with answering my questions.
The course is targeted for people who want to start investing in individual stocks but are afraid to start because they think it is too risky or don't have the knowledge. Another target group are beginning investors that bought their first stocks but are losing money. The result will be that at the end of the course, the client will have the courage to buy his/hers first stocks of the quality company that he/she researched himself/herself.
I want to make the offer as strong as possible so I am thinking about something like this: "You'll get your money back if your first investment after the course is not profitable within 1 or 2 years or I will help you personally on personal calls until you made a profit (unless there is a temporary market crash)". Something like this, you get the idea.
I also want to include free help tools like a valueable checklist so the person can check if all signs are green and to check if the investment is a quality or a risky investment. Another idea is a help tool like a small online book/pdf with all dificult stock market terminology but explained in very easy language.
The whole course is in easy language so beginners can really understand this skill that can be difficult with unneccesary dificult terminology. The course also has to be as quick and effective as possible so it will not take too much time.
I am currently still in the building phase. I have recorded around 40 video's by now. Some very short explaining video's and some episodes are in the 20 - 30 minute range depending on the subject. I think I will have to record around 20 more video's and the course will be ready to launch. I also built a Youtube Channel about this subject so this is my primary tool for gaining traction and for selling my course in the future. My channel has around 6000 subs and most video's will get views of around 800 - 1400 views. I upload two times per week to keep the channel alive and gain more fans and subs.
Here are the questions:
1. Which channels did you use to sell your online course?
2. What price should I charge for a course like this? (Of course I am willing to give more details if you want)
3. What is a reasonable amount of money that I can earn with my first launch and within my first year?
4. How did you make your online course as valuable for the client as possible?
5. Do you have tips or feedback for me?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and knowledge
