<div class="bbWrapper">Hello fastlaners, who is learning a foreign language on here? I&#039;m searching for language services/products to use, can anyone recommend which ones to use? I like the idea of the interactive programs over Skype, which ones are the best in learning to actually speak a language? Thanks</div>

I recommend using Craigslist. I found a native-speaker Arabic tutor for $10/hr and I learned more in the weekend sessions with him than I did in the weekdays I spent drudging through the computer programs. <br /> <br /> But if you&#039;re dead set on using a computer program, both Rosetta Stone and Tell Me More are good programs. I prefer Tell Me More myself.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Live Mocha is a good free option, at least for the introductory stuff.<br /> <br /> Pimsleur is also very good.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I&#039;ve personally used Rosetta Stone myself, and their approach is pretty solid. However, to piggy back on what GlobalWealth said, there is nothing like having a brain to pick, or being in the environment.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Surprised Rosetta stone gets great reviews, thought it would be generic being off the shelf, ill check it out. Tutoring seems like a good idea; probably should hit up the online sites and Rosetta stone first then hook up for some live chat. Thx</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Rosetta Stone has a live chat option in their new version, but if you get it, go for the package that offers all 5 levels if it&#039;s offered in your language. It really does work surprisingly well, especially for comprehension and listening skills.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Whatever you pick, its best to have a partner when learning a language because they help you keep commitments and you can converse with them to ingrain the language in your mind.</div>
