Hello everyone!
Just to summarize my 36 years of life and having an opinion about what I'm doing wrong...
I always desired the kind of life MJ described and I strived quite hardly to obtain it.
Untill now without any success.
I'm at my second university degree, at third child and even if I try hard I cannot find an entrepreneurial path able to guarantee me the so desired ULL. I graduated in Management Engineering, then in Dentistry, now working as a Dentist (with a nice income even if really far from the desired one) and have followed all the steps that my environment/relatives/friends/society have taught me to take.
In past years I tried several times to break limits of ordinary life, but I don't know if I didn't put enough grit into, or I got lost on the way, the fact is I haven't succeded yet.
It took me 2 years to write, self-publish and self promote a fantasy book (which I had always in mind to do and that I've written mainly for my sons to be honest, just in case I had to pass away prematurely, so they had a good story with few corner stones in my absence) and that is selling mediocrely. After writing it and being satisfied, I heard though feedbacks and rewritten the most. Now that I had something good by the hands, I had fun setting up instagram account fb ads, (s)talked all the IG influencers for reviewing it, and got good reviews....and it's not going far even if its purpose wasn't exactly profit-centered.
I've won a master degree in entrepreneurship, I'm investing a lot of my income in cryptocurrencies. I tried to start an online incubator for start-ups called MYSU (for which I was funded with a 25k grant) but did not survive after a couple of years (in the meanwhile I was taking my second degree in dentistry and I was getting married to "not miss the opportunities that life proposes but it's not said they may come again...).
I've bought, renovated and sold with a very good profit 8-10 apartments. I'm now negotiating to acquire an hotel to convert in apartments...but I understand it's not going to be THE solution.
I've designed and have been developed an iOS app to verify if somebody could have access to the complex and hardly understandable italian tax breaks... but it's not going well so I'm shifting in new ones.
I've been active in the global shapers' group (under the world economic forum). I've won a prize for having wrtitten a good text about how to envision future.
I'm considering buying land, installing photovoltaic panels and getting miners to work to produce crypto... but I realize that apart from enriching those who produce panels and those who produce miners, the whole thing will not free me.
My brother, a very well positioned guy in a multinational company with high (salary) income insists a lot with investing in stock market to get out of the rat race, but I'm fully aware that it is a good option for preserving capital, not for raising it as MJ so clearly illustrated.
I'm evaluating a dozen of other things...
I'm a guy full of resources, humble enough to listen voraciously to everyone's critics, full of commitment, energy, and will. Ready to do what it takes to be done.
But now I feel there is something missing that I can't clearly see from my perspective, even if I know well the theory.
I need a kick!
Who that have made it and is out of the rat race, may give me an hand? Asking me and telling me where I'm failing?
Who would be so kind to spend some time evaluating with me pros and cons of the next thing I'll be into?
I'd be very very grateful....of course...!!!!
Thanks for reading anyway! Maybe my efforts, even if not leading yet where I will be someday, may inspire someone not giving up!
And od course thanks MJ for giving the opportunity to learn gold lessons with your books and now for letting me asking for help!
Would really love listening from you...would be very encouraging!
Gianluca
