My name is Naveed and I'm about to embark on my first business. Well, I've already built most of it and I'm now just making some finishing touches before the initial release.
To preface, I read Millionaire Fastlane roughly 2 months ago, but my self-improvement journey has been ongoing since I was 16, which was when the covid lockdown initially hit. This was the perfect moment as with nothing to do other than play video games it gave me some time to somewhat reflect on my life, leading me to remember something from when I visited my family in Afghanistan 2 years prior...
Memory time
As I walked down the streets of Kandahar with my cousins and uncles to get breakfast I noticed a young boy next to the alleyway, I'd say 7-8 years old, holding a black rubbish bag over his back, black smears on his face and with no shoes. This came, to only my surprise, as to my family members this was sadly a commonality.
At that moment I felt bad for the kid, but nothing more.
It wasn't until 2 years later I realised how privileged I was to be raised in a first-world country and have the opportunity to have an education, wear shoes, drink clean water etc...
So I decided to take advantage of my opportunities and took the red pill.
Now 2 years later my first business is aiming to help people with taking the TMUA(an entrance exam for computer science, only one other competitor that doesn't put much effort and is overpriced). I don't expect this to be my Fastlane business as the maximum amount of people I can reach is roughly 5000 people per year and pricing at £15-20 while current competitors price at £70, but I know the experience gained here will help me dramatically.
Right now I am building the website using Vue, MongoDB, Express and Node while my friend is going to be making the content for the website. I plan to release the initial version mid-Feb and already have a place to get a ton of users to test the site out.
I do have an idea for a truly Fastlane business(i.e. follows CENTS fully), but I will focus on my current project until I am satisfied.
My long term goal is philanthropy.
Also, I possibly have an internship at a fin-tech startup this summer and am going to study CS next year.
Fitness-wise, I go to BJJ once a week and wrestling once a week.
