i am 16M, so a quick intro about me, i was raised in a family where my dad was a businessman. i have been at the company right from the day 1 learning about how things are run, how employees are managed, what problems are faced when running a business, i experienced it all the ups and downs, financial crisis and profitable months.
he shared a idea about monitoring factories digitally that he had in 2000 which is better known as IIoT today.
after 2 years of R&D i eventually got to the point our competitors were at (mind you i was doing all this after being at school from 7am to 4pm). my dad already knew some of the big automotive industries and they were impressed alot by it because my dad had put all the knowledge he had gained after years of being a manager at companies into a digital platform so he knew what sucked and we made our mission to solve them practically.
3 months ago we finally sent our RFQ doc for a production management system to a big as hell corporate that manufactured tractors nationwide, and we somehow nailed it. the final cost of the project was near about $100,000 with a AMC of $15,000 per year although the project is on hold, and previous week we got another project from the same company for Energy management system and is to be finished in the next month as i had developed a software already.
so from this year i was supposed to start preparing for a Competitive exam that takes 2 years. but i chose to delay it by a year so i can benefit from this oppurtunity. i dont want to mess up my studies too, its one of the most important thing, i had been planning this for like a year
i was already very good at studies, consistently getting at the top of my classes, i got top five in my class while focusing on my skills, i showed up to the exam after reading the entire set of books cover to cover and still aced the exams. mind you that this exam was a big deal, and also this is the time i was working on the big project i was talking about.
so i came to the conclusion, that if i delay the competitive exam by a year i wont regret because:
- i am already good at studies,
- i am going to be stuck in college for the 4 years after the exam anyway so better spend the prime time of my life carefully.
- this opportunity that i have right now may not return.
- i can continue studies with a much better health, sharp mind, skills that can even let me study better.
its been 2 months since i made that decision, and my primary focus is on making my dad's business run on autopilot by the end of the year
i setup a task management system, added a AI review and i kid you not, in a week, our productivity shot up like crazy.
i have like 7-8 months left, i layed out a plan which helps me get better physical, learn more skills, and have this business run effortlessly while i continue studying by the end of this phase.
