It wasn't something I realised was important to me until I started living out of town. I suppose if you don't know any different then it's not so bad.I never get it. People spend millions to live in these luxurious villas yet they're so close to other people they might as well live in a cheap house or apartment.
To me, privacy is worth much more than living in an expensive house. I'd rather live in a simple one and have a lot of space than live in a showy house and deal with the BS you described.

Completely agree with this. I have very few material goals but having big land with nice view where I don't see any neighbors and have a lot of space is one of them.
