Spent the last year and a half trying to find my feet in my new location. Finally got the push to start another biz. Similar to the old one but a little more focused this time. Just bought all my tools to get off the ground and been building furniture to get my fine tuning back and knock the dust off the old skillsets.

Bottom line, I'm going to be building humidors and high end furniture. I love the idea of humidors as an art form and would love to get some feedback once I have a few viable samples, so all you cigar buffs, keep an eye out for that.

Oh and for all the Scottsdale people, I do miss the lunches. Life came at me fast and I had to make some decisions that were the best for my family. Sadly it involved leaving Arizona. And I've regretted it ever since.
Got to do what's right for your family. Maybe you'll make it back someday, but don't hang your head low about it.

And remember, it doesn't matter how many failures or times you had to start over, in order to be considered a success in business, you just have to have one business succeed.

Keep swinging.

I know a billionaire who was in many businesses over many years that didn't work out but then one did. So things can change!

Update on progress,
Dumped most of my crypto funds and bought most of my equipment. Sourced a few larger pieces of old school tools for free. Keeping an eye on Facebook marketplace for free equipment has paid off as some of the equipment new would have cost me thousands.
Designing and building my cnc router table. 3d printing all the parts i need, opensource for the win.
Creating relationships to get better prices on lumber.
Getting all my parts together for a portable sawmill- lower cost lumber and additional stream of income for on site milling.

Working on some very complex eye pleasing designs and wood combinations for humidors and valets. Considering watch boxes as well, need to research the mechanisms used.

Sounds like this time will be really successful. Be vigilant on the sales end.

Made some very important connections in supplying me with exotic lumbers at a decent wholesale cost. Also worked out pricing for utilizing tooling to handle larger pieces, like huge belt sanders for sanding large tables and desk tops.

Started building my medium sized CNC router table. Bought a small format cnc router to build parts for my other machines and some small signage work. Got a few of the larger engine projects out of the shop this weekend so i have room to work again. Upgraded a few of the saws to newer more precise models. Big steps but it's looking like i'm going to have to look for a larger shop in the next few months
