Usual Disclaimer: I did not ask for opinions and I do not care whether or not you think I should do this. If you disagree with what I am doing, do not follow. Also, I am NOT suggesting that anyone follow my path. Just sharing what I am doing in case anyone decides to go this route. Also, I have a Master's degree, so you can expect that I know what I'm doing even when I don't!

With that out of the way, let's get down to business. Porn business. I am going to become a porn star and this thread is going to document that journey.

My why: Because I want to and because I can.

As I documented in this thread, my wife built a business on the verge of six-figures over the last year on OnlyFans. I played a role in that, mostly as a performer and advisor rather than as a business partner (technically, I'm a 50% partner anyway haha).

I've been in the adult industry in various capacities since I started as an entrepreneur. I've sold erotica, glass dildos, erotic dreaming kits, erotic hypnosis programs, and even temporarily a fan subscription (kind of like OnlyFans). But until now, I've never gone all-in on the physical capacity that most people associate with "porn." But that's what I am going to do.

I am going to build a porn empire.

It will have multiple income streams. Subscriptions. Ad revenue. One-off product sales. Digital products. Courses, Sponsorships etc. To do this, I will build up an audience, turn them into paying customers, and then expand both within and without the industry.

Where I'm At So Far
- I'm a verified model on PornHub, Xvideos, and a couple other tube sites
- I have 230 (free) subscribers on PornHub
- My PornHub channel has over 65k views with half of those views coming from a single (audio only) video
- I have limited content on PornHub already generating passive ad revenue
- Around 67 (free) subscribers on my OnlyFans account (those all came through my wife's account when she tagged me lol)

Things I've Learned So Far
- PornHub ad revenue is way better than YouTube ad revenue
- You can make money on PH even WITHOUT showing any nudity (as I was doing with erotic audio produced as video)
- 170,000 people are creating OnlyFans accounts daily but only 7k-8k of those are content creators
- There's a million bazillion ways to make money in this industry and there's a customer for every product
- Anyone of any body type/size/style/gender can do this if you've got the grit and you're a bit of a risk-taker

Where I'm Going Next
I'm on some tube sites already because I was making audio content, but my physical content is only on PH. Beyond PH I don't have an audience for this, so I'm going to start a YouTube channel documenting the journey. YouTube is going to play a key role in my empire. I think this is a better route for audience-building than the one most female OF models take (Twitter and Instagram). I'm also going to launch a Udemy course on OnlyFans that I closely collaborated with my wife to create. The idea is to build an audience that wants my content while also building an audience that wants to learn how to do this as a business. I want to sell to both types.

So the very next steps are to get some YT videos going, ramp up production for PornHub, launch the Udemy course in about two weeks, and then launch a subscription fansite. I'll either put the fansite on OnlyFans, AVN Stars, or just use PornHub. Not sure which yet. OF is super restrictive with their content. AVN Stars is the most lenient, but the least well-known. PornHub might be the best place, although they've got quite a lot of restrictions on their content too. Beyond that, I need to start thinking about how I'll niche down and what kind of content I'll create going forward.
That's where I'm at. I'll post again when I get something up on YouTube. For now, just imagine how you'll feel when you accidentally see my butt on the internet somewhere.

I welcome all questions.

Link to your PH channel? Asking for a friend, of course. DM me as I don't think MJ would be too happy about a public link

Thanks Lex for the updates!
Can't say I'll be able to check out your work on PH without my phone adult filters blaring, but I look forward to some interesting adventures for your end.

BTW, are you still running your private paid email list?
I noticed the emails kinda slowed down.

Oh god, I dunno if I'm that ballsy yet. But maybe I'll link back in my YT videos if you really want it. I'll probably share some YT videos here anyway.

I stopped the paid email list and ended all of those subscriptions. I sent out an email about it a while back. Thought everyone got that, but then a few people didn't for some reason. Anyway, you shouldn't be getting billed for it, and if you are, definitely let me know so I can send a refund for the time where I wasn't sending emails any longer!

On a side note, PH likes to block my content on their own. I guess I'm too dirty even for them at times (and that's just my audio programs lol).

What is the typical consumer profile? What is the average monthly expenditure amount of a typical user who spends money on porn?

How much higher is ad revenue from pornhub higher compared to youtube channels? Like from your gut feel. I know this can be different for different youtube content as finance related offers the highest cpm.

How do you see tipping as a revenue stream?

Not expecting you to quote numbers from studies but just from your experience.

Oh god, I dunno if I'm that ballsy yet. But maybe I'll link back in my YT videos if you really want it. I'll probably share some YT videos here anyway.

On second thought...I don't watch porn anymore, so probably it's for the best lol. I'll for sure follow your journey on YT though, this is something I've always wondered: "how does one become a porn star?".

I remember watching Johnny Sins' YT channel vids where he tells how he became one, but that seemed like the old fashioned way. He just kinda walked into auditions and got his first part.

When I ran a subscription site about half my customers were male. I have no idea what the average monthly expenditure is. I had people who bought a $100/year subscription within a couple of weeks of launching that site with about 23 subscribers on YT.

People pay a lot for porn and other things. There's a lot of people who will never pay for porn, but I've seen people pay plenty for all of the following:

- Customized porn videos (where you say their name)
- Used panties and socks
- Gummy bears that were in someone's butt
- Used toys
- Audio erotica and hypnosis
- Private videos inside of a paid subscription site
- And a bunch of other stuff that might be a bit dirtier than I'm will to discuss here :)

Ad revenue on PH is MUCH higher than YT. To put it in perspective, when I launched ads on my YT channel I already had thousands of subscribers and around 200 videos. I earned a few dollars within my first few months. With 5 audio-only videos I generated around $8 my first month on PH. Also, keep in mind you can post content on other sites such as Xvideos that also have solid ad revenue programs. I haven't tried running ads with any others yet because I'm going to build up my PH account first.

Tipping is a nice bonus in the subscription model. People tip at random. On OnlyFans people also tip as a way to purchase custom videos and other things. My wife sometimes generates several hundred (maybe over $1000 some months) in tips.

@Kevin88660 Speaking of Johnny Sins, on PH he's ranked number 21 out of all models and his channel has 1.3 BILLION views. 361,000 Subscribers. With numbers like that on YT you'd have a six-figure biz easy from ad revenue alone. PH is higher.

J Sins.webp

With my 10 videos now, I'm ranked around 38k. My wife has only 5 videos and she's around 8,000 with 287k views and 3.7k subscribers. Her videos are generating around $30/mo.

Another benefit of PH over YouTube is that you can run ads from the start. You don't have to reach 1,000 subscribers first.

Lex, thank you for telling about a (in public) taboo subject.
Thats so interesting, as there is not so many first person information.

It's a hard subject for people to talk about. There's traditional pornstars who've been in the industry a long time and got in through a more traditional agency approach. Those people are pretty comfortable with what they do, although I imagine they earn enough that there is no reason to make videos about it.

As for OnlyFans, it's a lot of homemade accounts. Amateurs. Thousands upon thousands of slowlaners jumped into OnlyFans because it offered the illusion of safety and money. They thought they could make money showing their nudes and never be discovered. It's challenging to make videos about your business on YT without showing your face though, so they don't make them.

A lot of people are terrified of others discovering what they do. Most OF models only earn about $500 before they quit. You need to get into the Top 1% to get into the $5k - $8k per month range and it's really hard to get that far without showing your face or promoting yourself.

There are endless ways to make money in the adult industry, but anyone who thinks they'll do the minimum and hit it big is wrong. You gotta approach it like any other business and think like an entrepreneur.

I know I'm being immature but each time I see the word "hard" in a thread on porn it's hard not to laugh.

You keep surprising me with your new projects. It's pretty hard to keep up with all of them.

Everything is funnier in the adult industry! Everything everyone says on television is also funny now. 😀

I can't keep up with all of them either. Most of the stuff I do now is related to the other things in some way so it can help build what I'm not focused on.

I'll leverage my current Udemy audience to get fast enrollments to an OnlyFans course. I'll leverage the course to move people to my YT channel. I might shift my woodworking products to toy concealments instead of gun and knife concealments so they fit the adult industry too.

Most of the things eventually tie together.

You got balls, buddy.

Actually, it's interesting. Porn is one of these jobs where no one really knows how it works until you go do it.

I must also say that I am anti-porn as much as one could be, but I'll be following this thread for the mere interest, general knowledge, business lessons, and to get stories to tell on Friday night.

Thx for documenting!

You know how there’s always that one friend that you love because they’re crazy and if you dare them to jump off the roof into the pool when they’re drunk they’ll do it, naked, while screaming “To infinity and beyond!!”

Those friends bring joy, naked crazy loud af joy.

We can’t help but avert our eyes after the dare because wow your junk is swinging in the breeze, but damn dude, we love you man.

@MJ DeMarco If there are going to be threads about making money from porn on this forum, expect more threads on topics that will make a lot of people uncomfortable in the future. It will change the culture of the site long term.

Make a rule that only Lex can make threads about porn.

problem: solved

Congratulations on completely lacking integrity.

While the others commend you for your balls, all I see is you following your wife's lead and evening the score all while convincing yourself it's what you really want.

Can't believe people are celebrating this trash of a thread.

There are already threads on topics that make people uncomfortable. Culture is not stationary. There is a disclaimer at the top of the thread that says not to follow if this makes you uncomfortable. Every single post on this site affects the culture of the site. Every sentence and every word.

1. I never claimed to have integrity.

2. See what you want. You've never met me. You have no idea what I do beyond the forum or why.

3. It's trash because you disagree with what I'm doing. Not because it's actually trash.

Well you obviously read it through. Move along, nothing to see here (not even Lex’s junk (yet)).

God bless you Lex, you always make me smile with your never ending money making schemes.

You constantly talk about your private life on the forum. In fact, my most memorable post that you made was how you and your wife went for an open relationship after a dead bedroom.

Just wondering, who brought up that first - you or your wife?

By the way, I'm not out to shit on your head for no reason. I'm just convinced this isn't you and that this doesn't really suit the forum.

I guess you are an expert on my life after all then. From these two posts it is pretty clear you have a number of deeply ingrained societal scripts running that you'd prefer to hold onto rather than question.

I'm not making porn to spite my wife. I'm making porn with my wife and we were already doing it before she made her's for sale at my suggestion.

I'm not sure if you listen to Kill Bigger Radio Show but there was an awesome episode recently about self-righteous virtue signaling that you should check out.

If this topic doesn't fit the forum, MJ will let us know. In the meantime, the thread I already posted on this topic was labeled notable when the word "porn" was replaced with "freelancing" so from where I am standing it suits the forum fine.

Besides it's not like I'm sharing nudes here. Just sharing another journey that, if it turns out to be a mistake, will be my mistake to own as an adult capable of making my own decisions without your help.

Socoetal scripts? Lmao.

You didn't answer my question which, ironically, is still an answer.

Yeah, agree with you on the rest.

If you want to make personal attacks, even as questions, go ahead. Makes no difference to me. I placed the disclaimer in the first sentence of the first post I made and you ignored it and you keep coming back for more.

Every time I make a controversial post, someone is ready and waiting to step up to the pulpit and preach their opinions about what is right/wrong/not a fit for the forum.

I respond to the posts and then I do what I'm going to do anyway. So you say whatever you have to so you can sleep tonight, and I'll do what I'm going to do afterward anyway.

Societal Script = nudity bad, porn bad, porn business bad, porn entrepreneur bad

I would like to remind anyone offended by this thread that you have options to:

A) Block me
B) Block this thread
C) Do both

None of those options offend me and I will not think less of you if you choose them.

While this isn’t my cup of tea, I’m not going to judge, block you, or any of that. I always wish you the best man.

Just don’t forget your third partner!

Creepy Uncle Sam!

Rest assured he will be in the corner of the studio with handcuffs, a cage and guns demanding his cut of your “hard” work.

Maybe it's a benefit I'm learning a skill in demand all around the world!

I moved this to the private Speedway forum and away from public eyes.

I don't need Google penalizing me for pornographic content.

Not for me, man, lol.
I had a porn addiction a few years back, it messed up my sex life big time and I avoid it at all costs now.
I don't think less of you; I am more so amazed at the things you come up with to make some money haha.

I wish you luck, good luck pizza man!
