Just finished Elon Musk by Ashlee Vance. Brilliant ambitious guy who is a man on a mission to save the planet. Ancestry of explorers. Had a childhood of awkwardness.(And getting bullied) Likes to do everything himself so he has a problem with giving up control. He's more of a modern day Thomas Edison/Nikola Tesla in they'll experiment and fail over and over again but they always eventually figure stuff out.

Call me a "hater" - I'm not a fan of Elon Musk. I think he's a liar and a thief. He works through subterfuge and deceit. I'd follow many "leaders" in today's marketplace - but not Elon Musk. TSLAQ by 2021...

Currently reading Unscripted for the first time. The book kept on coming up time and again as a highly worthwhile read by people I respect. Almost halfway through the book, and I can say without a doubt that it is one of the top 5 books on the mindset I've ever read, up there in very lofty company. Can't wait to finish the rest of the book, and more importantly, apply the mindset and systems contained inside. Looking forward to the rest of the ride!

Work the System: The Simple Mechanics of Making More and Working Less by Sam Carpenter

I listened to the audiobook and really liked it. My first business was so chaotic, I will not repeat this mistake with my second business. Everything has to be systemized or you'll fail. Period.

Peak by Anders Ericsson. Only a few chapters in and seems to pin the model of how the talented have learned from their practice / differentiation to uncover what needs to be improved.

I'm reading the 10x rule by Grant Cardone at the moment.
Until now I like it.

If you haven’t read Be Obsessed or Be Average I highly recommend it as a follow up.

Recently finished “I love Capitlism” by Ken Langone and am on to “meditations” by Marcus Aurelius

Mud, sweat and tears by Bear Grylls. This book is his authobiography so far it's one of the easiest reads that I got because it has small chapters with tons of stories telling you how he became a man of unbreakable spirit against all hardships.

I'm going through a few right now (Does anyone else have a fat stack of books they keep leafing through?) but I'm focusing on Unscripted by DeMarco and Mastering fear by Brandon Webb.
On my commute, I'm listening to either Shoe dog or a James Bond series book by Ian Fleming.

I have a goal to be more focused on one book at a time this year; but there's something subtly attractive about having a bunch of books on the burner at once that you can plunder from at will.

Listening to "Built From Scratch" about the Home Depot founders. Decent audiobook, might follow up with Ken Langone's book after this one.

Much prefer the Sam Walton book "Made In America".

Just snagged The miracle morning: entrepreneur to help fill downtime at work; For commute I am caught between shoe dog and atomic habits which I found floating in my audible library.

Any reccs for good commuting audiobooks for someone starting out? I have thinking fast and slow and the Steve jobs biography but I'm not at a point where I'd enough to need to know how to exploit innate thinking systems or how Steve did it; or am I?

I like the ideas behind 10X Factor, but there's something about Grant Cardone that drives me batty. He's like that friend who won't shut up. He's manic, almost.

Didn't he used to do coke? It makes sense on why he's so hyper.

Haha, yes I got the same impression and have such friends. T.b.h. nothing wrong with it. I like those kind of people as long they have something interesting to say.
