I read the millionaire fastlane over two years ago and I decided to write about the higher education myth 'cause I'm a college dropout. I recently self-published the book although it hasn't yet appeared on Amazon, but it's on Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Scribd, and iBooks. The book needs reviews and ratings. If anyone is willing to review and rate it, I'd gladly send you a copy. The title of the book is "The Brutal Truth About College, a College Degree, and a Job."

I decided to write about the higher education myth 'cause I'm a college dropout....The title of the book is "The Brutal Truth About College, a College Degree, and a Job."

You dropped out, you didn't get the degree, and the book is on "brutal truths" about degrees and jobs?

If you're doing anything more in your book than simply copying other people's books and ideas, it's definitely not being conveyed here.

Exactly my thoughts and what people are trying to tell you. Your vague intro comes off like you plagiarized the exact books that brought us all together on this forum.

Tell us more about your book, what is different about it? Who should read it and why?

No one said that you should unpublish the book...UNLESS you truly have nothing new to offer.

But before you go and do that I would advise you to take a deep look into your life and all your experiences and see if you have something to say that no one has given much attention to in the past. Keep in mind that this might take days, weeks, months, or even years. Or it won't happen at all. Either way, this will leave you with a much better idea of who you are, why you dropped out of college and possibly even what you should do going forward.

P.S. There is nothing wrong with self-promotion...IF you are an established forum member who has added value to the lives of others in the past.

I glad for all your comments. One thing I learnt in life is neva to have a fixed mindset. I want to edit the book and leave only my own idea. It waz neva my intention to pass off someone's idea as my own.

There's nothing wrong with building on other people's ideas, that's the spirit of entrepreneurship. Just give credit if any credit is due.

Also, is your book edited or is it written in the flavor of this post?

I hope the grammar / spelling in your book is better than what it looks like here.

@Feisty you’re getting the wrong idea from this. Nobody is trying to tell you that you should or shouldn’t publish your book. We’re trying to ascertain WHY you want to publish it and what will make us or anybody want to read it?

Did you drop out of college to pursue a business with success?

What is your story?

For all we know you could be a multi millionaire OR you could be living in your parents basement copying and pasting other books into your own.

Tell us more about it and if it sounds intriguing then I’d be happy to read it and give you feedback.

On what planet does someone think writing a book is reasonable when:
  • They can't even write English
  • It's a rehash of other people's ideas with nothing original
  • They have no experience in the subject matter
How about finding something the market needs which is unmet and you have actual experience or insight into and have the capability to deliver? Probably sounds like too much effort, right? Like writing proper English?
