Read a interview with a long time google employee (not founder) who said two very interesting things.

1) they work on solving billion person problems. Obviously google can do this because they already helped one, then hundreds, thousands etc.

2) more interesting to me is that they also focus on products people would use TWICE a day. Toothbrush is the example given, but if it’s something people need or want to use twice a day you can bet there will be a market.

Things that come to mind are anything auto related as so many people commute twice a day, people eat 2-6 times a day, pets eat twice a day. Social media gets used several times a day. Soaps, supplements, hell even toilet paper!

When thinking of a product think about what else people need or want to use at least twice a day?

No it's not relevant to you.

Google is operating on the other end of the spectrum to an individual entrepreneur. Opposite level of capital, labor force, global reach, etc. You're not going to be making something everyone uses twice a day.

While there is no arguing that Google’s scale is on its own level I would disagree on the twice a day product statement unless we’re talking a very narrow view of what twice a day means. The concepts are more about thinking big beyond a one off sale.

Did MJ’s clients not use his service multiple times a day?

Does the e-commerce store selling dog treats, beds, food not have their products used twice a day?

My 3 year old pees all over the floor from missing the toilet at least twice a day, if I could figure out a way to make him aim better he’d use it at least twice a day.

Simple concept stated in a very nice way. Very memorable.

Love it.

That already exists(admittedly it's mostly been used for Dutch drunks, but the principle is the same)

I completely agree, let me rephrase, I need something better. My wife is in a lot of mom Facebook groups and this is a common complaint she hears (she’s always on the lookout for complaints/problems to relay to me)
