No experience with it here. I think a lot of guys are looking for the magic pill for success or productivity.(not saying you are specifically). Seems like everyone is looking for a hack, and these types of things seem so hypey to me.

So far I haven't found any, other than being able to focus, stop procrastinating and ask yourself the hard questions about what you need to do to keep moving forward and making progrsss with you goals. Sometimes it's a lot less complicated then you think.

Would love to hear if you have any positive results or anyone else on the forum has

Completely agree. I'm more so looking at the energy aspect and the way of getting your body into ketosis. I think that's the main point of it.. I can't really tell if the results are from the bulletproof coffee or coffee in general lol because before I used to not drink coffee at all, and now I have one per day or two tops. So that's why I'm a bit biased in saying that it really does give you energy throughout the day. I also just recently stopped smoking weed so that also probably has giving me a bit more energy haha

I love it, although I can't say I noticed any performance differences.

I think that's around the time I started it -- 3 or 4 years ago.

One thing bulletproof coffee taught me was how much of an effect eating before I need to slows my performance.

If I eat anything before fast time is over, I feel slow and sleepy and depending on what I eat may even have to take a nap!

How are you guys making the Bulletproof coffee? I've tried many different ways and just curious what you guys have found that works best for you?

I'll try to find that @AllenCrawley ,

Do you guys use MCT oil + butter?

or coconut oil?

If so what type of MCT oil do you guys use?

Yeah I have experimented with it quite a bit. VERY effective for weight loss and you actually feel pretty good mentally on it.

Yes. I use NOW brand for the MCT oil and Kerry Gold unsalted for the butter.

I use the type of beans as recommended to use for bulletproof coffee. It does make a difference, for me anyway, when using bulletproof approved coffee over "regular" coffee. I usually add unsweetened cashew milk.

I use NOW MCT and unsalted Kerry Gold. Lately I've been using Raven's Brew coffee (mainly because I love their branding).

Also get one of these hand blenders because it makes life a 1000 times easier.

Avoid blending coffee in a Ninja. The lid melts right into your drink. :D

I tried coffee last week, and I didn't care for it. I am more of tea drinker. And for bullet proof, I'm more natural and feel the best way to be bullet proof in life is doing your inner work, managing emotions, thoughts, feelings, and being mentally tough. Perhaps eating the right food for fuel. Sleeping enough hours and physical fitness. If you're mind, emotions, and body are moving in the right direction, then you really don't need substances in your body. It's kind of like artificial flavoring or placebo effect with some things. Coffee is caffeine. Tea is Caffeine, Chocolate is caffeine. Sure they all claim to have health benefits. I suppose it's trial and error to see what octane fuels your system. I suppose I just have always done the natural route, because my brains more clear, focused, and sharp.

I looked a the whole BP diet a few years back along with a host of other primal/ paleo based diets. It is difficult to argue with the general premise - good quality natural food is better for you then processed manufactured food stuffs. When i first adopted a paleo based diet I saw a big change in my energy level, body shape and overall health- all for the good. I found to get the best results you need to experiment and find the foods and eating habits that suit your body and your lifestyle as we are all different and react to food in different ways.

I always wondered if the BP coffee made or difference or if the guy was just pushing a brand. I might try it, although I don't drink a lot of coffee anymore. I find that I've gotten a little sensitive to caffeine.

When I made it in the past I used Kerry Gold unsalted butter, Spectrum organic virgin coconut oil (don't use Lou Ana), and a scoop of Optimum Nutrition french vanilla whey protein. I tried MCT Oil, but could never get the right amount. I ended up feeling nauseated shortly after. I've also tried blending eggs into it as well, which makes it really creamy.

Haha, it's funny you mention that. I always used my single serve Ninja cup. It ended up turning the inside of the cup brown.

I love it. I've been consistently drinking it every morning for the past 3 months, as well as doing intermittent fasting.

It gives me an instant hit of energy and I don't crash or feel drained like I used to after eating breakfast.

I then have my first meal at 3pm (after a workout) and dinner around 8pm. I've lost about 5-6kg of body fat and I rarely feel the need for a nap.

I don't actually use the Bulletproof brand of coffee. We have a local roaster that has coffee that meets the qualifications for 'bulletproof' - organic, wet processed, single estate origin from Central America. FYI, I believe the Bulletproof brand is just a white label of Portland Roasting Coffee.

We used to use the NutraBullet which did a fine job but now use a Vitamix.

Yeah, I live in BC, Canada and there are soooo many local coffee shops here with many organic roasters. I'm using the NutraBullet but I found that when I blended it last time that there was still a line of oil sitting on the top.. That may have been because I didn't use enough coffee, and I also was just using MCT oil at the time, no butter.

I'm going to have to experiment to find the right amount.

KerryGold unsalted butter is the way to go! Just keep in mind that as you add more products like butter, mct oil, coconut oil, even eggs!! that you're introducing more and more liquid fat. Now, fat is not bad, but if you're drinking it in a short amount of time, you may start to feel a little nauseated. That happened to me. I was drinking Bulletproof Coffee with butter, mct oil, coconut oil, and 2-3 eggs, and it was like drinking 50g of fat all at once. My body couldn't handle it.

I liked using eggs because it made it creamy/frothy and I was getting the benefit of a cooked egg. Make your coffee, add your butter, add whatever else, add the eggs last and then blend it right away.

That's the one problem I'm facing. The MCT oil says at first it may be a bit hard on your stomach.. And also obviously coffee (for a person who didn't normally drink coffee) can be hard on your stomach also. I've noticed my stomach felt quite sick for a bit especially because I tried drinking the coffee, then working out right after.(another thing I just started) my stomach was really not feeling well for the first few days but today wasn't quite as bad as the last few. I'm not sure if I should keep pushing through or quit.
