Since reading the Fastlane Millionaire a lot has changed. I lost the slowlane-mindset and found myself a partner with a lot of connections and knowledge.
We have a great idea for a website in a niche that is far behind with a lot of things. There is some competition but their websites are outdated and not exactly as ours.
Now, why did I open this thread?
My partner and I know a lot about (online) marketing, but our programming skills aren't that great. We have some knowledge about HTML, CSS and PHP, but not enough to build our own professionally looking website.
Because of this, we need a programmer to build and maintain the website. The thing is, we don't know if we need to partner up with a progammer and split the stocks 33/33/33, or keep it 50/50 and just hire one. Our budget isn't big enough to hire a local fulltime programmer, so if we decide to hire one, we need to outsource the project.
In the past I've had bad experiences with outsourcing big projects, so that's not something I prefer.
How do you guys think about this?
