Ok so I own a huge Twitter network, I'm the biggest social publisher on the site. I have approximately 20,000,000 followers in total with different niche topics like fitness, skin care, beauty, mom blogging, love & relationships and so fourth across all of my 25'ish accounts.

With just 4 of my pages I'm sending about 100,000 CLICKS per day to websites and it generate anywhere from 250,000 to 400,000 page views per day.

I'm looking for the best way to monetize these. Right now I'm pushing traffic to 2 affiliate programs essentially, they pay me anywhere from 1.5c to 2.2c CPC and it's all relative content (for example they design fitness content for my fitness page)

I've designed a gallery-style site with next buttons and I'm using the Adsense ads that are text-based and have the arrow on them, which aligns in the same area that the next button does.

1. Is this the best way to monetize my site in gallery form?
2. Am I already getting to good of a deal with these other sites?

Essentially the different would be on my own site I'm getting paid for performance and engagement whereas on the other sites I'm getting a guaranteed 1.5c to 2.2c CPC.

What else should I know?

BTW this is just supplemental income, I have a beauty site, mom site, fitness site etc in the works where I'll be working with bigger ad networks to monetize but I'm also sending people to content on my gallery site to generate revenue and send them to a diverse number of sites instead of just one.

Thanks everyone!

If you are sending 100,000 clicks per day to websites at 1.5 to 2.2 cpc, you are making about 1500$ - 2,200$ per 250,000 - 400,000 page views generated by the clicks, so, assuming you were to send the clicks to your own properties and generate the same clicks to page views ratio you would need to have a 6$ cpm on your website to make the same income.

A 6$ cpm is not that bad, but it's not that good either. You can definitively make much more than 6$ cpm on your own websites, if you use multiple ad networks, increase the clicks to page views ratio, or collect email addresses and monetize through email marketing, etc.. but you also have to pay for producing content on those websites.

If you want to focus on the adsense route, aim to get in the adsense premium publisher program, if you have more than 20,000,000 page views per month per your adsense account, you may qualify to become an adsense premium publisher - which will get you a dedicated Google account manager working with you to optimize ads on your website, as well as the ability to customize ad formats to your websites however you see fit without regard to the standard rules that apply to the smaller publishers, and a bunch of extra benefits.

If I were you, i would definitively get into building my own web properties, just for being safe.

By building your own web properties, you also get access to other traffic sources as well - search engine traffic for instance - in addition to your twitter traffic. Good luck.

6$CPM with ad networks ? I heard it's hard to get over 3$cpm unless your selling private ads.

6$ cpm is attainable per page since usually you have 2-3 different networks ads running on that page. So, although a specific ad network get you 2-3$ cpm, they are not exclusive, you can get another 2-3$ cpm from adsense, another 1-2$ cpm from infolinks, another 2-3$ cpm from another network, amazon, or etc..

At bigger scale, every extra cent adds up.

6$ is not bad as i said, but it's not very good either. Depends on the niche, but the people that are paying him for his traffic right now at around 6$ cpm are probably not losing money on this deal, so it's clear they monetize the traffic much better than that.

If anything I would definitely build properties as someone already mentioned. Right now if something happened to twitter or the ability for you to continue to do what you are doing, you will fall apart over night. You are controlling nothing, you do not even own your own content, twitter does. I would be focused on making those readers and followers your own readers and followers. You are skating really fast on thin ice right now, but great idea to open up on the board and see it before it hits!

I did my first test today and I did 89,000 page views, 4.1% CTR, and pushed $10+ RPM.

This was a small test considering the traffic I can push with my whole network, I could easily triple this every single day without any problem.

If I got these type of numbers over a large scale, does this drive a red flat? It would be between $2500-$3000 a day.
