Pet Owners: Can you Spare 2 Minutes?

<div class="bbWrapper">Hi all, <br /> <br /> I run a business that honours deceased pets by allowing their grief-stricken owners to reminisce about their life with storytelling. <br /> <br /> I&#039;ve had some success, and my existing customers really liked it. But there&#039;s a major barrier for people: <b>typing is long, boring and can feel like homework. </b><br /> <br /> To fix this, I&#039;m experimenting with a voice recording feature, which I&#039;ll then plug into Whisper to transcribe their words into text. So essentially, <i>they can &quot;write&quot; a book without typing a single sentence! </i><br /> <br /> Now, I&#039;d love for some of you who have/ have had pets to test it out! I know you have busy lives— so I made it extremely short! <br /> <br /> I&#039;m mainly testing how accurate my transcription software is when tackling different accents, genders and voice tones. So this would be really helpful. <br /> <br /> Feel free to speak your mind when answering the prompts and don&#039;t be shy, upload some photos of your pet too! <br /> <br /> <b>NOTE:</b> If you&#039;re privacy conscious, rest-assured I won&#039;t be storing your submissions for long. <div class="bbWrapper">It can be hard getting people to fill out forms. I had a look at the first two pages and wasn&#039;t sure what would happen next. I then bailed (but was watching a football match on TV so you have that to compete with). Maybe let people know in advance what they&#039;ll be doing when they start the form? Keep trying. Figuring out how to get responses from people is well worth it.<br /> <br /> One tip is to not try to convince people to fill it in, but find people who *already* want to fill it in. Is that possible?</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I don’t understand this. You want people to say something about their past pet and they you convert it into a book?<br /> <br /> Wouldn’t it be harder to get people to talk about it vs writing it?</div>

My website petpapers.ie gives the user more context, then, they&#039;re referred to the form page as part of the funnel.<br /> <br /> And I&#039;m giving people the option to either type out their answers or upload voice clips. Some people may love the concept but dread the idea of long, arduous typing. Others might hate the sound of their own voice and opt to type it out. It&#039;s just a way to skew value and destroy barriers to entry.</div>

Right now, I have a pre-made template that gets populated via Zapier. I don&#039;t think this is something crucial right now, but it&#039;s worth noting.</div>

I&#039;ve had some success, but the long, arduous typing is a barrier to people. So, I created a way for them to upload their voice, and my software transcribes it for them. That&#039;s what I&#039;m testing here.</div>
