Darn, a money chasing troll is leaving because he hasn't been validated making $8 for the last 8 months ... how will we survive?

Well, we survive only until 4pm when the OP wakes up.

Glad I didn't spend any time in this thread convincing "4pm boy" that his dropshipping empire is dead on arrival.

Not surprised he threw out an "ism" as well -- racism! Ageism! Sexism! This is what happens when your education comes from CNN and liberal arts colleges.

1. You guys don't know anything about dropshipping. Still nobody has told me "yeah, I do dropshipping for a living and what you're doing is too little work for dropshipping." Just a bunch of people who THINK that what I'm doing for dropshipping is too little work and are giving me useless and redundant advice/labeling me a "action faker" for working 6-8 hours a day. I'm sick of replying to the same old criticisms that help nobody like a broken record because people don't understand dropshipping. It's a waste of my time and yours.

You know your previous reply was the first I've heard that you were dropshipping. Nobody here commented about it because you never mentioned it. BTW, I was dropshipping in 2007. It's an old business model now. You are dropshipping from Aliexpress, which people here don't touch because it is a flawed and dangerous business model.

Below is post that I'm responding to in another forum.

"We were able to build the store up from $0 to $30K Jan to April. And then everything went kuh-plooey. We had over 20 orders that were stuck in Shenzen, China for over a month with one vendor. Another vendor put fake tracking numbers on 56 orders, lied to us, kept dodging inquiries and then 3 weeks later, tell us they were out of stock, but "now we ship". Another of our "hot sellers" has a 90% return rate and gobs of negative reviews. Needless to say, the store has tanked."

This was my response:
" Instead of dropshipping, you should have moved to an importing model once you started gaining traction in sales. Import the hot sellers in quantity to the USA and ship them out yourself."

But that's ok. Nobody here has any idea what they are doing. You can't learn from us. I'm sure the BH forum is much better and they know alot about dropshipping.

We work for years and have garnered no experience at all. You haven't bothered to ask any questions on this entire thread. You just like to post about your loser lifestyle and expect more successful people to just say, "well he's 19? cut him some slack."

The issue is not waking up at 4pm. It's that you still don't do anything productive from 4pm to 7am. You take breaks and days off when you don't deserve any. Nobody is going to pat you on the back from running 1 facebook AD. Good luck.

Once again, nobody understands exponential growth. I promise you I'll be making more than this @Spicymemer45 carpet cleaning fool (with an edgy and hip 2017 username) next year this time.

You have no idea how much this pissed me off. I'll F*cking show you, you sweaty basement troll.

Appreciate the motivation, and you can bet your sweet a$$ I'll be out of bed when it's actually daytime and the only exponential growth I foresee in your future is the pile of shitstain that is you.

You need help man.

You need to stop doing drugs and get your life together.

There's some people that can do drugs and still be successful, but you're not one of them. If you were, then you'd be doing actual work.

Decide. Be a piece of shit that "coasts" through life drugged out, only to realize at 40 years old that you're a loser and your life has gone to shit? Or get your shit together, get rich as F*ck, bang super models, race supercars, and have a good quality of life?

Also, you need to stop idolizing scumbags and drug dealers. I'm guessing your profile pic is some sort of cocaine selling persona?

How many cocaine dealers do you know that are billionaires and not in jail?

Now how many people own boring a$$ businesses and live a life that you'll never get close to?

Selling drugs is only cool until you're like 21. But even then it's not worth it. Having a drug habit is never cool. It makes you lazy and unproductive. You're F*cking up your life with youthful stupidity.

Get your shit together.

Or get used to being a mediocre loser who is only respected by his own ego.

So far this thread is filled with action fake. There's little to nothing that you're doing which will get you closer to $100/day.

You have a lot of posts along the lines of "Cleaned my desktop out", or "Did all the accounting for the past 4 months on my business account".

You need to take a step back and create an actual plan. It seems like you're just waking up everyday at 3pm and coming up with some bullshit tasks to convince yourself that you're running a business, though really there's next to no purpose or direction.

I actually read the first few chapters of The Millionaire Fastlane last night. The whole premise of "you're not going to get rich by investing in 401k's or clipping coupons" to me is like "yeah no shit, that was never my plan." I left that paradigm when I was 16.

Ok, last try:

Imagine this thread is your product and the forum is the market.

You've been unwilling to accept that you're wrong, despite the market repeatedly, emphatically, telling you so.

In the real word, refusing to learn and adapt from feedback aborts your business before it can ever scale. No one cares about what you want to sell. They care about what they want to buy. Listen. Don't read to react, but rather to understand the customer.

Humility is non-negotiable. You have to understand what people want regardless of your opinion of it. A misguided smug complacency that you're smarter than anyone else will leave you broke.

Level the F*ck up. This isn't reddit where you get a troll trophy for subversive irony. You win nothing - in fact, we gain, because this is no longer your thread. We've taken your product and re-purposed it as a cautionary discussion about the dangers of ego and inflated sense of self-importance. If your posts were extracted, this thread would be GOLD.

Stop thinking about working on your "business" in X many hours per day.

Start think about working on your business on what *single* IMPORTANT task can I do today that will move it FORWARD. Maybe that's testing a new product. Maybe that's creating your store page, so you can test the product tomorrow.

The time you worked on your business doesn't matter. What takes you 24 hours could take someone else 20 minutes. The completion of the task is what matters, and you improve efficiency as you learn and progress. Again, the time it takes to do the task does not matter if the task is done to the best of your ability and it moves you forward towards where you want to go

At the end of every working day, you should have a single task that you will complete the next day. These tasks will snowball into something. You may hit a "failure" at some point - a product doesn't work, or you get a refund, that's okay - work that into the task for the next day and keep moving.

Once your single important task is done everyday, you can do things like your accounting for your business, or other administrative tasks.

If you don't know what your task should be, find one of the many free Ecommerce groups on Facebook - there are a handful of decent ones, and take their course. Go from there.

This is probably one of the comical threads I've ever had the joy of reading -

@LordPhenny - You have to understand why everyone who is dropping bombs on you because it's blatantly clear that you're entitled, have little to no motivation and are flat out lazy.

I used to wonder why the longer tenured forum guest would destroy people asking certain questions...then it hit me, these guys were at one point in their lives in dire needs, at rock bottom or had an FTE event which changed their lives forever. They put in the 60/70/80 hour weeks, they didn't go down to the beach to read, they had to learn things using the tools they had and the brain between their ears.

They weren't living at home suckling of their parents teet, they weren't waking up at 4pm in the afternoon (which is just unbelievable), they weren't working 0-2 hours a day and they weren't bullshitting - they were literally fighting to change their lives. You've never been there, but I have, i've slept in car's when my apartment burned down when I was 18, slept on couches, worked shit jobs where I have been degraded, have had to sell personal belongings to give to my mother so she could make the rent, did illegal things that in hindsight were unbelievably stupid and still today sleep in a musty basement because I sold my condo to start a fastlane business and paid off all my debt.

I am thirty-F*cking-two years old and I sleep in a musty basement to save money for a fastlane business. This is called sacrifice - you've probably never had to do this and I hope you never have to, I hope you learn from the forum.

At 19 these guys did not have the tools you have today and you're squandering the opportunity and time you have - this is why these guys are bombing you - you do not know what you have in front of you. This forum literally has people who are giving you a step by step guide on how to start a business and succeed and will actually answer your questions if you ask them - it is un-F*cking-believable, people pay hundred, probably thousands of dollars for the same content and advice that is FREELY given on this forum.

This is the realest shit i've ever written and I'm going to wrap this up by saying this - unfortunately one day your parents will pass and will not be here, you will not have them to rely on and at the rate the US is going you probably won't have social security. Stop acting like a victim and start really working towards your goals if - you are serious. If you aren't just pack it up and continue to be live the life you are living, there is nothing wrong with the way you're living if this is how you choose to live your life, just don't wake up at 42 and regret your life choices.

Best of luck to you

Yeah I read about the giving value element... That's just Basic 2017 Business Success 101...rehashing of shit I know and have read before. But new angles of viewing old concepts are always great so that's why I'm reading it.

I know everything about health and fitness says the 400 lb fat dude who just sat down to eat a cheesecake.

For others dropping by, here are some concepts to think about as this train continues to tumble down the ravine...

* Bro-marketing...
* The Commandment of Control...
* Action-faking...
* The Shortcut scam (vs the process principle)
* Righteousness...
* Shelving biases...
* Commitment vs interest
* Value arrays (or lack thereof)

I can go on and on, but why bother. This thread has literally become a case study in how to fail and how not to execute.

Yet, the OP claims to be an expert at business, so much so he can skim books that have made many millionaires and freed countless lives around the world.

Here, have another cheesecake while you tell us how to get six-pack abs.

Other Hint: (it doesnt work anymore thats why he's teaching it)

You'd rather leach off someone elses products than take the time and effort to do it yourself.

You'd rather have someone show you the way than create the way

You'd rather have someone give it to you than earn it.

Everything about your posts is what I despise about people my age "playing entreprenuer", asking me to go to lunch with them, partner with them, hear them out... It bleeds of just leeching off others rather than actually doing something.

You know what I did when I got started? Along with tons of other forum members..

I created a brand and I ordered 1000 of a product which I WORKED to sell through creating value, marketing, and a shit load of work.

I didnt wake up at 4pm, post on a forum about my bullshit then call it a day because I lost motivation.

YOU CANT EVEN READ THE BOOK ON WHICH THIS FORUM IS BASED BECAUSE YOUR THAT LAZY.

Remind me to give you my forum password so you can imposter for me while I'm away. :playful:

Grade for the Day: B- (80%) The good intentions were there. It just didn’t pan out too well in reality and I missed achieving what I’d like to have done (another product campaign, working out..) Got mired in making a rice and beans recipe that was pretty good.

You worked less than two hours and gave yourself a non-F grade?

Your goal is to work five hours? The 60 year old Korean woman that made my eggs this morning puts in a solid 8 at that diner. You aspire to do 40% less work than a 60 year old woman?

Keep hoping you're gonna turn this around, and then you punish me for re-visiting this thread.

Raise what you expect from yourself. Turn this around. Gloat about how wrong we all were. I swear to god, if there's one more post where you worked 2 hours and then made beans I'm gonna go full movie villain and hire a team of Russian scientists to find a way to un-invent the internet.

Also, "niche research"? Is that what we're calling weird porn these days?

So, it's been about two weeks now...

There's some nuggets of good stuff here. You've been getting up progressively earlier each day, and now you're actually waking up in the morning.

You have some semblance of self-awareness, in knowing that you need to sort your shit out.

You have actually increased your "working" hours.

And yet...I still don't understand what the hell you're actually doing. I've gone back and read through all your Summaries of Today. I don't see virtually anything in there that actually constitutes productive work.

Taking an AdWords course does not constitute productive work. That's the sort of thing you should be doing outside work hours.

Going to the beach to read a book about having "No Excuses" does not constitute productive work.

Messing around in your site's analytics does not constitute productive work.

If you're only working five hours a day, how can you spend "too long" on your stretching exercises? You have 13 other hours in the waking day to do those!

You've done virtually nothing of value in the last two weeks and now you want a big pat on the back and a self-congratulatory day off! WTF! I don't get it.

A wise man once said that if you want something to get done, ask a busy person to do it.

Let me summarise for you what I've done and will be doing today:

- Woke up at 6:45. Had a shower and sunk two coffees.
- Worked on stuff I'm doing in the ForeverJobless incubator from 7:30-11:15 solid.
- Walked into town to get a haircut and grab a sandwich
- Spent two hours making calls to candidates for my recruiting work

Now I'm taking a short break to write this post (it's 3:40PM here).

As soon as I finish this, I'll be putting together some email sequences that need to go out for my other sales job.

And then I'll be making sales calls with some pre-booked appointments mixed in until 9PM.

Then I'll have dinner, read for an hour, and go to sleep.

I have four different "jobs" to do right now, and yet I still got more done in the morning alone than you do in a day. And I'm not saying this to claim I'm in any way exceptional, because that's not the case.

Do you want to win, or not?

I might not be the best at explaining exactly what the hell I'm actually doing in a day so it might look like I'm an 19 year old kid jacking around pretending to work. Keep in mind I'm leaving out a lot of details in my daily summaries that I don't have to time or energy to divulge on. But honestly, I know when I'm jacking around and working to feel busy vs when I'm actually working hard making real progress. I feel it in my gut. What you guys are claiming are wastes of time were actually very important. Those 5 solid days were days I was 85%+ happy with.

The idea that as a 19 year old not going to college with virtually no work experience in dropshipping being able to just jump in the field and "work on it" is a fiction. You guys probably had to learn sales or whatever your skill is one time or another. Apprenticeships are as old as mankind and everyone must go through them. Just because you guys are older and are basically done with learning/apprenticeships (e.g. college, internships, etc) doesn't mean unskilled younger people like me shouldn't go through them.

However, I do still recognize the fine balance between knowledge and work. Too much knowledge and too little work, you accomplish little. Too much work and too little knowledge, you also accomplish little. You guys think I'm with too much knowledge and too little work from the few hundred words I'm writing online daily, without experiencing my actual life. I disagree with this on instinct. And this isn't a pride thing-- I will be the first one to admit that I blew a day or didn't work that hard. But where you're saying I have I know I didn't.

I'm objectively acting on what I'm learning. That adwords course led directly to a sale today. And I will get more sales and more sales in the coming weeks. Don't worry.

Dude you're full of F*cking shit.

This:
Summary of Today
-woke up at 10:55AM
-went to get an eye exam at Costco for new contacts as I have only 2 weeks left. Also got laundry detergent.
-Decided F*ck it, I worked my a$$ off with very little indulgence for the past 5 days. I'm taking the day off.
-Took the day off, watched plenty of TV
-modified my goal for "5+ hours a day for the next 6 days straight, NO BREAKS DAYS". I'm making the decision ahead of time to not take any other break days for the next 6 days and hopefully longer. I did 5 days straight of grueling work whereas my average in the past of mediocrely-focused work has been 1-3 days straight, so it's only logical to do 6 days straight now which will probably be a record for me if done.
-going to bed now at 2:55AM, need to wake up early to meet with someone to ship a package of my old company's assets cheaply to my long time friend and buyer living in Poland

IS F*ckING HORSE SHIT.

I'd be embarassed to live this life. F*ck i couldn't imagine living this life.

I will promise you one thing you will never make it without discipline and right now you have none.

You need to get your shit straight and that starts with building discipline. F*ck a business you cant even run your own life right how are you going to manage employees, customers, and all the other moving parts of a business?

I promise you right now there are kids your age or younger literally working their brains out 18 hours a day to get the same goals you have. The only difference is they're going to get them because their disciplined and willing to sacrifice. You won't if you keep this up.

And honestly this thread just belongs in the #landfill cause its straight bullshit back and forth.

Yeah that guy clearly should've done basic market research. I made that same rookie entrepreneur mistake of not doing market research too and spent 2 F*cking precious years of my life on a disaster project that had no market but I thought there was a market because "myself and friends + family like it!" ... led to nowhere and you see me selling it to my friend in the beginning of this thread. Funny how he flat out admits it halfway through his thread that "no I didn't do any market research, BUT I'm a car guy and I like it." *facepalm*

I do see parallels between his thread and my thread of 95% disagreement and 5% lukewarmness in the comments. It's obvious to me he's F*cking up and getting criticism for it. I don't think I'm F*cking up now but I'm definitely getting an equal or greater amount of criticism. But perhaps I am F*cking up and I will have to consider your comments to not be the whichride4you guy who is blissfully ignorant of his errors, but not for long once he learns that market research is necessary the hard way like I did and many entrepreneurs before him.

I will give my earnest effort to heed everyone's advice here and not learn it the hard way. Parts of it may be valid, other parts invalid. If I label valid advice as invalid and make more blunders, F*ck it, nobody's fault but mine and I will have to learn the hard way.

Look, it's clear you're young with some discipline issues. But it's also clear you're taking a lot of swings at the plate. And that's a great step because with each swing, you get better, you learn, and eventually, you start getting hits. To further the baseball analogy, much of the opposition you're receiving is we see you swinging at the wrong pitches.

Sometimes the problem isn't our effort, it's that our effort is focused at the wrong system or the wrong project.
Other times, we have the right project, but our effort is poorly focused.

Either way, we don't get the desired results.

Can you make some $$ dropshipping? And learn a lot too? Sure. You can also become a MLM distributor too and make $8/mo for the next year as well.

If you're going to work your butt off, make sure you're in a system that rewards better than a dinner at Olive Garden.

but working dozens of hours a week with no end in sight. Not fastlane. I used to have more clients but I've let my lead generation wither because I realized it's essentially a job and I see no reasonable way for it to make me my first 5 million dollars. I see ways to expand it but they'll mean I'll be stuck in one city, dealing with employees all day, and essentially working til I'm old and grey. Tell me one marketing agency owner who isn't stuck in some office and forced to work his business like a job and perhaps I'll reconsider.

This is a bad mindset people have and shows they don't fully understand what "Fastlane" is.

I'm a freelance copywriter, I work for myself. Yes, not fastlane. But, guess what I am learning:

- How to work for myself
- How to overcome failure with no Plan B
- How to sell
- How to make money without the need of a "boss"

Your mindset is normal for those who've never been self-employed. You're thinking you're shrewd for thinking 10 steps ahead...but, when you're making $8/day, you're doing the wrong thing.

It's like people who want to start a business and they're reading about "How to hire/fire employees"... in the beginning, your goal is to learn how to make money, not worry about "fastlane" or not.

Perhaps MJ won't agree...but, after 4 years of 'action-faking' with businesses that made $0...now I wake up working for myself with more money in the bank than I ever had as an employee. Now, I'm more confident than ever (and wiser) that I could start any business I want tomorrow.

Any business can become a fastlane business. But, even MJ's business didn't start out Fastlane. He worked like a dog for years.

Yeah I know, I'm not really working nearly as much as I need to. 0-2 hours a day whereas I probably need like 8-10 hours a day to get anywhere. A lot of my addictions to watching politics are getting the better of me. I'm working to destroy this tendency towards addiction by socializing more, going to meetups, and possibly building a mastermind group. Willpower alone is shot.

Your primary problem is not that you're not working as much as needed to. Your primary problem is that you have no defined plan for achieving your goal.

You need a plan.

Without a plan, you're going to run around for a couple years accomplishing nothing before giving up.

Take a step back. Maybe go through some online courses on how to launch a product/service. Or read some progress threads. Or just create a plan, ask for feedback, and refine your plan.

If you had a plan, then you wouldn't be doing the tasks that you're doing. You'd be writing about other things. Stop misdirecting yourself, make a plan, and start getting rich.

Selling people stuff they otherwise would never know about. And yes, there's flaws to dropshipping as people have mentioned (e.g. long a$$ shipping times, supplier F*ck ups, etc). If I was doing a good bit of money on dropshipping I'd consider order fulfillment in the USA once I built out a brand. But no point to order 1000 of a product upfront that won't sell which makes dropshipping the perfect option in the initial stages of building an ecommerce store/brand.

Your just lazy dude tryiing to make a quick buck cause you some stupid facebook ad advertising how some 20 year old dude makes 2m/year dropshipping..

-took the day off, passed my “25 hours in 5 days” target yesterday so I took the needed break

Ah yes, the "much needed" break from such a grueling work schedule.

But why stop there? 25 hours in 5 days? My GOD, isn't it time for a vacation in the Caribbean with first class accommodations!?

Every progress thread I've ever seen is just all about the good stuff. "Made X dollars on eBay last month", "Did X in sales", etc posting every few days without a real understanding of the important part, the day to day process behind it. The goal of this thread is to show the good and the bad and see the inevitable progression (or the degeneration as many of you think.) Nobody's really unapologetically shown their day to day wins an losses before so that's a big part of why I'm taking a lot of heat, some I believe valid and some invalid/misunderstood. I'm not embellishing anything and will fight to the bitter end.

Are we on the same forum??

Lot's of the threads have their failures. The difference is those threads are related to business mistakes, and your's is:

Don't live with my parents, live with my brother with $500/mo housing subsidized by my parents.

Congratulations to your sons and their good father who has taught them to start their first income stream legally instead of illegally.

After being chased out of Fastlane Forum with my last journey thread by a mob of people who don't understand dropshipping, I decided this is the best place home for my journey thread to financial sanity."

Oh we understand it, perhaps too well. Problem is, this poor kid isn't looking for business advice, he's looking to get his confirmation bias massaged while accepting a participation trophy.

No offense, but your goal even now seems semi unrealistic. I'd give yourself a year to learn and profit off e-commerce. And I'd get a job so you can stop living off your parents. And I dont know what time zone you're working in but you should be waking up at 6am everyday and working if thats something you want.

Good luck

@LordPhenny - the first thing I have to commend you on is consistency. Too many people start progress threads and then never come back to them. It shows that you have determination and drive to keep coming back and doing this.

One thing I see a lot of in your updates is busy work. Work that makes us feel productive at the end of the day, but honestly hasn't doesn't move any of us forward. I've been in the phase where I think spending hours learning from courses is being an awesome entrepreneur because then I'll become the fountain of knowledge that everyone wants. The truth is however isn't that. I would keep taking courses because I was scared to actually go out there and take action so I wanted to make sure I learnt everything so people wouldn't be able to challenge me, that I'd know all the answers and I definitely wouldn't lose any money.

Here's the reality though. The three months I spent following that routine? I wasted so much time and potential income it was insane. No-one is going to start out perfect, but the truth is that even if we have 2% more knowledge than the Average Joe then we're valuable to them. It's simply our ego holding us back from doing things.

I could be wrong, but it sounds like you're too comfortable right now and it's more painful to change than stay as you are. I've been a total wet blanket in pushing myself this last year because I was comfortable. I have a nice place to live. I have food in the cupboards. Sure if I kept on going in the same vein I might run out of cash in a year or so in the worst case scenario, but I kind of knew that in that worse case scenario my family would save me (writing that actually makes me want to slap myself round the head).

Wake up call? Finding out a parent was potentially seriously ill. First thought was them. Next thought was right I need to be able to raise enough cash for medical bills and to support them going forward and there's not a chance in hell I'm going to put myself in a position where they need to save me.

That shook me up enough to stop pretending that I was working when I was actually just playing at being an entrepreneur and stepping up and make plans then take immediate action. We will trip, we will fall but we all need to do that.

My question to you is what is driving you to change right now... and is it really big enough? It feels like you're playing really small right now and I actually think if you can find the big enough motivation to step this up 100% you're going to achieve amazing things.

Hours Worked Today: 1.5 hours

You trolling us?

Woke up at 5PM and watched 4.5 hours of TV.

Now you're wasting our time. (And certainly not worthy of receiving my time or effort into helping you.)

Earnings: $8
$8= monthly earnings from my marketing company

The one thing that's been consistent in this entire trainwreck of a thread.

I imagine if I checked in 4 months from now, it would say the same damn thing, "I made $8."

Sad that some of our most respected members have been trying to help you and the best you can do is "I made some F*cking chile" and "I went to Costco." Seriously?

3 freaking pages and nothing?

Have you even read the book this forum is based upon? Me thinks, not.

Unless something changes, and fast, this thread is ready to fall into the #landfill.

Perhaps @biophase can give a candid opinion on the big nothing burger in here?
