Hi Folks,
I guess most of you have read MJs books and maybe did so a few times over the years. I am curious to see if you have certain stories or passages from the books, which really resonated with you. I think it would be fun to share and compare your views. Even after asking the most popular AIs, on what stories from MJs books are most notable etc., I have gotten very different answers from different AIs and those answers were also vastly different from my own favorite passages.
Starting with myself:
1.The story of Chuma and Azur from TMF - I am not a literature expert, but I am sure that this story is a piece of master-level writing. After first hearing the story on the audiobook, it gave me hope and it started a flame in me which just won't go out. Even now and also often during the last 12 years I find myself thinking back to this story. I have read hundreds of books (fiction, non-fiction and science-fiction) and even after getting to know the masters, reading through some of the most touching and inspiring stories on our planet, I still think that the story of Chuma and Azur is extremely good. To me it feels like a legend which could be told from parents to children over generations.
2. The parable of awareness from Battle 11 in CHLE - this is another fictional story about a traveler and a monk, which in my opinion has the potential to become a very memorable piece like the story above. Even after listening to CHLE just once, I have started to think very often of this story. It captures and describes the workings of a human mind and is told just beautifully. I wish that MJ would come up with this story sooner (like in TMF 😀) but nevertheless it is a true gem in my opinion.
Maybe MJs next book could be a children's/youth books filled with such beautiful stories? I am sure it would become a bestseller among young and old. I am really looking forward to hear about your favorite parts.
