Hi everyone, I'm Omar, 23 years old, from Peru. I read The Millionaire Fastlane and it made one thing absolutely clear:
I will walk the path of entrepreneurship until the last day of my life.
The first time I “sort of” became an entrepreneur was when I was 18, during the 2020 pandemic. I dropped out of law school because I couldn’t stand the academic system. I’ve always considered myself self-taught. At that time, I decided to create websites and monetize them with AdSense.
I had no money, no experience, and no contacts—just time, energy, and a family telling me I was ruining my future.
Honestly, that year and a half was one of the best periods of my life. It gave me a glimpse of what I really wanted to do. I came across MJ DeMarco in late 2021, but I didn’t pay much attention, since my parents had enrolled me in a 3-year tech career in programming.
I love programming, yes—but I don’t want to spend my life working for someone else.
In 2022, I sold my websites for just over $250. I focused on learning to code, influenced by all the tech influencers shouting things like, “Learn MERN and land a remote 6-figure job in the U.S.”
I tried, but I hated it. Pure hype. “Learn React in 1 month, be a senior dev in 3”, etc. I’m sure it works for some, but I knew that wasn’t my path. Still, it gave me direction for a while.
By the end of 2023, I finished my degree. And between 2022 and 2024, I didn’t start any real businesses—instead, I lived the usual early-20s distractions: parties, girls, late nights, and gym.
An undisciplined life.
In 2024, I moved to another city to work as a dev (.NET, Vue, etc). I spent 2 hours commuting every day and 12 hours at the office. It made me rethink everything. I hit rock bottom: no money for food, renting a room where I couldn’t even bring my girlfriend, and the company was months late on paying me.
That’s when I started reading Unscripted ... and something clicked.
I decided to make some sacrifices:
Now, in 2025, I’m back at my parents’ place. They’re happy because “I’m doing well” (I earn around $1,000/month remotely), and they think I’m finally “on track.”
I’m incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done for me. But the truth is—this is not the life I want.
This year I launched my first SaaS. It failed. Took me a month and a half to build the MVP, launched Facebook ads... nothing happened.
But I’m not giving up.
Recently, my sister (she’s a surgeon) told me about a real problem doctors face with patient scheduling and follow-ups. That’s when my second attempt was born. I’m building a SaaS to solve this issue, using AI to assist, and planning to create TikTok content to attract attention and clients.
Thanks for reading. I’ve been silently reading the forum for months, but today I felt like sharing my story.
I’m locked in. This is my life now.
To everyone out there building their own escape from the script—
I wish you health, clarity, and success.

I decided to make some sacrifices:
- No more weekly parties
- Find a remote job so I could move back to my parents’ and rebuild from scratch

My goal for next month:
→ Land my first paying customer / user for my saas in my city or somewhere in Peru. Thanks for reading. I’ve been silently reading the forum for months, but today I felt like sharing my story.
