Pump you up before what?

The gym, getting down to the grind etc.

Here's a few of mine. As you'll see my tastes are all over the place.

The Game - Ali Bomaye (Explicit) ft. 2 Chainz, Rick Ross

Illenium - Fortress (feat. Joni Fatora) (Just A Gent Remix)

Dragonforce - Through the Fire and Flames

A Day To Remember - All I Want

I saw Dragonforce open the main stage at Ozzfest about 10 years ago. Their lead guitarist is so damn technically skilled it was insane.

Gym: metal - Deftones, Every Time I Die, Korn, Mastodon, MSI etc.
Sometimes neurofunk/techstep - black sun empire, noisia, etc.'
Hardcore badass rap such as Dope D.O.D is also great from time to time.

Work: no lyrics. They totally distract me. And it can't be too emotional.
Preferably something with steady rhytm and some energy to it.
Boris Brejcha is great for getting stuff done:

Good vibes, steady rhytm that kind of gets you in a trance, and great artist by the way. I also love his music for road trips, relaxing on the beach and travelling in general.

I also love ambient music for work, but I wouldn't describe it as "pumping up" :D Rather chilling out. Carbon Based Lifeforms or Circular, for example.

Gym - goes in cycles. Been on a big Five Finger Death Punch / Metallica kick lately. Will always have them plus Eminem, Disturbed, Kendrick Lamar, and Pantera on there.

Work - I like Matt Mullenweg's approach - one song on loop. Lately: The Weeknd, Glass Animals.

I'm a huge fan of soundtrack music when I work, I get distracted by lyrics.
Favorite one right now would be the Rogue One soundtrack

My 80 yr old mothers favorite video. Sometimes I wonder if there was something she wasn't telling us.

Hopefully this works. I haven't embedded anything from facebook yet.

What I like about this video has nothing to do with the cookie monster and angry pirate vocals. To be honest, that stuff annoys me. But what is noteworthy is the level of dedication and development that this guy put into his wrist development, his ear and especially his feet that really shows a level that most won't achieve. If you notice, he's at a point of speed with his feet to where he "swivels" at the ankles. This takes years to develop. I'd also have to say he's up to 250 bpm+ (beats per minute) in tempo, consistently.

This is what 'pumps me up'. This level of dedication and consistent and grueling and boring hard work. But the end result speaks for itself.
