Hi James,

I am looking into LPW as well and wondering what your experience has been since posting this question in January? Were you able to gather any feedback from others and did you decide to join? Your feedback would be very valuable.

Thanks and hope to hear from you.

@JMS

Is this the old "for $X,XXX we will teach you how to be a life coach so you can sell $X,XXX programs to other people on how to be a life coach?"

This?

We Need Business Coaches To Handle Exploding Global Demand For Our Services | Leader Publishing Worldwide | No Results - No Fee™

That's the one! Skeptical of course, but wondering if anyone here has actually participated or if you've received real experience feedback -- positive or negative?

Slight clarification -- my understanding is that it's a business coach training/set-up to then coach small businesses -- not trying to sell other people on becoming a coach. Likely the same "scheme" but just wanted to clarify.

How can one coach small business owners when they've never owned a small business?

Just sounds like a retooled envelope stuffing scam...

Hi JMS, I am using the LPW system in my coaching business and I do feel that it is authentic and genuine. I have been in Actioncoach and an Independent Coach and feel that the offering from LPW is comprehensive fair. No upfront fee, no restrictions on territory, no long tie in, your brand on everything, no revenue splits.

It is a licencing deal where they will give you the materials, training and collateral all of which is very good and based on sound business principles. It is good quality and there is plenty of materials. There is also an abundance of support available from LPW and the coaches across the world.

It does require the Coach to put in the effort to learn the LPW approach then put themselves in front of sufficient prospects to achieve the revenues forecast. This is no different to any business.

There was a comment in the thread of how can you coach a small business if you have never run a small business. To an extent I agree it allows you to empathise with the Owners but not essential. Consultants and Mentors need more experience as they tend to advise from their knowledge and experience. Coaches need to know the questions to ask but expect the Owners of the Business to be the subject matter experts.

The LPW model has a real focus on training with accountability coming from the coach.

Very vogue in coaching at the moment is working in a niche. Coaches then go deeper into an industry to improve their knowledge to offer specialist mentoring and consultancy alongside their Coaching.

I have been looking at the LPW opportunity. They DO have an upfront fee of $6000 USD.

Sorry that I did not see this email at the time. But for anyone looking at LPW when I joined there was no upfront fee and the Coaches that I am bringing on now there is no upfront fee. LPW cover all the costs of developing the websites, personalizing the collateral, training and support calls. to get the Coach up and running and their ongoing support. There is a monthly licence fee the amount varies according to the level that you want to join at. The level determines the tools that you have access to such as the Profit Acceleration Software, number of websites, authoring programme and the community calls i.e. Platinum Coaches have dedicated calls for Coaches working at that level. There are currency variations but the investment levels range from $500-1500 per month, with a typical investment of $1000 per month once the coach is up and running.
