There are many skills that can help us gain a competitive edge in the market place. Such a learning sales skills, writing skills, programming skills, accounting skills, communication skills or even learning a new language. Obviously some of this is dependent on what market you are choosing to attack. But what are the 3 most valuable skills to focus on learning in your own opinion ? I believe everyone will have a different opinion on this and a reason for their opinion. But because of that I believe this thread will be interesting and help some of us pin point some key areas that we could improve in personally. ultimately bettering our self as growing entrepreneurs and business people.
My example
Market I am going to attack ( Real estate investing/sales & eventually Info products )
1.) Sales copy- I feel this will help me improve my actual sales skills along with sell my info products that I will create after obtaining some success in real estate.
2.) Management skills- I feel it is important to learn how to hire the right people. Then developing a system that people can follow. I have read that many people fail in real estate rentals because they never develop a system and get the right tenants into their property.
3). Networking- Learning how to position yourself in a circle of movers and shakers. I feel this comes naturally with success. Not many successful people want to hangout with someone who is a liability. They usually place themselves around other successful people, unless of course they like you and want to mentor you which is GREAT! just don't screw up. I feel networking is very important. As the quote reads " If you hangout with 4 broke people you are likely to become the 5th". Law of proximity
