I'm at a really weird place in my life that maybe some of you guys and gals can relate to.
I started my first online store back in 2004 and ever since then I've been hustling with it or it's predecessors trying to "make it". Last year things finally really took off with one of my businesses (mid 6 figures) so much so that I started banking all the money from my "real job" and planning my exit from my JOB this October.
At the beginning of this year I launched another online business that after a few months is on track to generate 6 figures on an annual basis. Having a second income stream was also one of my goals because I don't like having all my eggs in one basket.
Also beginning this year I hired a person to handle customer service and this summer I hired a college student to produce and ship the product. Prior to this my wife did all the production and we spent our evenings packaging and shipping products.
So here's the weird part for me, I feel somewhat lost. All the hobbies I used to have, painting yoga, photography and such I haven't touched in years because it was all about family and biz. Now in the evenings my wife and I have time to watch TV shows without stuffing envelopes at the same time and I feel like I should be doing something else.
On the flip side there's another market I see that I think could be another 6 figure a year market and once the content was created would be passive. The quandary is money's not the motivator it was when I was struggling and I haven't done anything to move forward in this area.
The other concern is when I resign in October is all of this floundering going to get even worse? I'm sure I will invest myself back into some of those hobbies that I've shelved but this is such an unknown region for me I just don't know what to expect.
I'm not concerned that I'm going to sabotage myself but for right now I'm not feeling real anxious to stretch myself either. I also battle between focusing as MJ suggest and creation which is where I thrive. My 2 existing businesses have limited room for expanding my marketing efforts and outside of tweaking the backend process I don't believe there's much left to improve on them.
Not sure if anyone else can relate to this or this just sounds like whining by someone that should be grateful. So thanks for reading this rambling mind dump.
