THIS GUY.

Actually, despite the fact that this site is essentially a time machine back to 1999, the content is super addicting. A few years ago I read through a ton of his pages. He's like the coolest grandpa ever LOL.

For instance, check out his experimentation to find out how to make the best tasting cake from a box mix.

It was his tutorial on how to grow ranunculuses that first led me to the page.

I like the way this guy thinks.

Even if his web design skills aren't exactly cutting edge.

I got instantaneous flashback from this. I was on the internet in 91 or 92 using PINE and other stuff I can't remember the name of on a monochrome screen and a 2400 baud modem (I was able to skip the 300 and 1200). By mid 1994 I had a 4 color EGA monitor, 14400 baud modem and my first WWW login. WOW what an amazing world of very little it was. I remember there was one page that was a counter of how many pages existed on the whole web. Who knows if it was accurate but I watched it go from double digits through mid triple digits and it disappeared or maybe I stopped watching.

I would seriously love to see a couple examples of sites that you guys consider cutting edge or at least current edge.
It's definitely not about being cutting edge, but at least being current.

Something like https://www.valtech.com/ might be overkill for Dan's Local Marketing Agency, but Home | Mindgrub could work. Note, not the content, but the aesthetic.

Not using frames and looking like the website was built in Dreamweaver in 2003.

If you can add value to these very old sites and upgrade them to say a weebly or shopify site for a fair price and have someone like; @SEO Guy @SEO New York @seodo @SEOMarketer to do some SEO or other work behind and around it like @eliquid or (i.e. Adwords) @Andy Black , wouldn't that work or at least help these sites?

If they don't want to invest in a new design I doubt they even know what SEO is.

I just stumbled across this one:

I know it's german, but nonetheless the design is awful.

For research for my past client's white paper project, I fell upon this:

It's the Indian government's website front to announce updates to their policies on encouraging the development of electric vehicles, but somehow the site looks like a Pirate Bay database, rather than something that should reflect the coming of a tech revolution such as electric vehicles.

Security was surprisingly weak for the site (a government website should be the most secure!), as Chrome didn't let me view it, stating there were 'privacy precautions'. So I had to view it using a proxy instead.

Even worse, the numerous legal gazettes in the site are not even in clean pdf form, but apparently haphazardly scanned from rusty paper.

Good grief...

To be frankly honest, I think this website almost fall on this category too @MJ DeMarco

Think about it.

Imagine James Bond movies on the casino scenes. People walk by with $5000 suits like it's actually t-shirts, martinis everywhere and one person opens this forum on his limited edition iPhone X.

It just doesn't add-up.

Except...

You're imagining early 2000s James Bond movies.

But then, I read in your TMF book that you tried to change it and people hate it. I thought okay maybe not.

But still, I think this forum deserves a fix.
They literally just upgraded the forum. I think it's great.

I really like this website:

I'm sucker for pictures, and I love how they managed to basically make a website full of them, yet keep it so aesthetic.

The b/w tone makes it more clean as well.

EDIT: Sorry I misread, this thread is for bad websites lol. But still have a look!
