I saw that you had a mailing list on your site. Did you wait till you had close to your goal on your mailing list or did you just decide to go for it? Im gearing up for a kickstarter campaign as well, and i have a mailing list too.

I didn't really have a goal number of signups for the mailing list. But I felt the time was right now, having received sufficient exposure and buzz. But yeah - definitely build a mailing list, it is very much worth it!

Hey Bud,
A few quick tips that might help you out.

• Put out another updated press release, but tweak it for big keywords. Now I'm not the biggest fan of press releases for backlinks, but if using them for short-term traffic it can be another story. If you do it right you can land in Google news (aka the top of the SERPS) for some sweet keywords. You would need more research, but I just searched "iphone video" and G-news is displaying at the top of the search and "gopro video" displays the news mid-page. Could make for big volume during your campaign.
  
  
• Grey Hat SEO
  Now listen to this at your own risk, as grey-hat tactics (big blasts) can be volatile, but I see some nice oppurtunity for it here. The benefits of grey hat tactics are super fast results, and low cost in the big scheme of things. The downside is that it makes rankings much more volatile. Good news is that you only need this to rank for another 27 days, unless you're planning on the kickstarter page being a long-term lander.
  
  Right now the #1 ranked page for "gopro stabilizer" (1000/m volume) is actually another Kickstarter campaign. I would be willing to bet that a quick blast of some backlinks combined with the authority of the kickstarter domain would put your page at the top within a week for a bunch of traffic terms.

Hey this is a great idea congrats Eskil. If it is possible you could expand your market by introducing a port for the Canon and Nikon DSLR's, maybe even a software solution like for the SD memory cards. Also, maybe a plugin for the post processing video editing software as well. It should also be easy to use viral marketing for this product by sponsoring some top extreme athletes on youtube.
