I tried fastlane.. somewhat...Did real estate (commerical and residential) and opened a commerical kitchen online store. The result? It pulled in about $70000 net profit a year.
But here is my problem.. After I went back to my profession and took a corporate job, I easily make $150K a year, plus some hard to resist benefits like free nanny hours, options, medical/dental that requires me to pay next to nothing... And the best part of it... I am not stressed and I love what I do...I create cloud computing and mobile apps for Financial industry by the way..
I work 40 hours a week, hang out with my coworkers a lot (social circle is awesome), I don't really worry about stuff and money is good... The problem is, I don't have time to grow my own business, so they just sit there, still pulling money, but not going anywhere anytime soon either..
I am getting comfortable... and somewhat lazy.. I know... I have got a million already and I am pulling in quarter a million a year... It's hard to get motivated to let it all go and take on lots of risks and hours again... It was NOT easy when I built my side businesses... And I am scared to do that again...
The most important factor that kept me from leaving my corp world is.. I like it... I really like the people, the environment, the projects I am working on...
What would you do if you were me? Which route would you take if you were in my shoes? Just curious...
