Alright my friends, It has come to my attention, that a lot of people try and sell a "secret" to success online. & it is getting really annoying.
______
There is NO WAY (unless you win the lotto) to make lots of money without putting work and time into what you're doing. I used to fall for these sort of things. Pyramid schemes and websites that have a teaser videos with a link to subscribe for more. I followed those links and I eventually realized Its all a scam.
When I was about 18 years old (i'm 23 now), I invested five hundred dollars into a business called 'Vemma', (you have probably heard of it before) and it got me so motivated and enthusiastic about it, I spent hours and hours doing stand up talks to a group of people, to try and get them to invest $500 bucks aswell. We had videos that the company made to accompany their product - healthy energy drinks - and I thought I was a doing a good think. Helping people stay healthy, while making money promoting the product. I had always been good at sales, so I thought this was perfect for me, and I was going to make a lot of money. WRONG. People started to realize what was going on, and eventually my family started attempting to convince me that all this was bogus, but I argued with them, told them they just don't know what success is and denied it. HA. I ended up loosing a sh*t load of money, didn't make a dime, and couldn't pay my rent anymore because I quit my job to go 'full time Vemma'. That was a hard lesson to learn. Don't be like my 18 year old self.
--- But being honest, I did learn a LOT about sales, convincing people to buy things they don't need and public speaking. Sitting down and talking face to face with others about investing a good chunk of change -- which by the way, for a highschool teen, 500 bucks is a lot. If you are good at sales, maybe something like Mary Kay will work for you? But my best advice is stay away from it. I have even seen some posts on this forum about "my secret to success". Don't listen. Or give it any responses.
You need to find out what motivates you and get hungry. Don't rely on the easy cop out. Your future depends on now.
