The moderators have received a lot of requests lately to intercede in interpersonal relationship issues, delete annoying posts, or otherwise moderate comments based on a users personal preference.
There are some pretty specific things you can do to get your post deleted, and get your account deleted. You can read about them here :

But we're not babysitters.
One thing that sets this forum apart from others is it is relatively drama resistant, and self filtering. Much like the global marketplace which rewards value and ignores inferior offerings, this forum self regulates. Assholes who come here thinking this is like a regular forum where they stir up shit and spend years antogonizing other posters quickly find out nobody gives a shit about their nonsense.
We take care of getting rid of spammers, people with multiple accounts, hucksters, scammers, and other dirtbags. We don't intercede because your feelings got hurt, because you disagree with another poster, feel maligned, or your post was criticized.
An exception to that would be discrimination, or other over the top abuse such as frat boy derogatory posts or language.
It's YOUR job as the forum users to self regulate. The forum is self filtering. a**hole antogonists who don't get attention leave.
In the business I am in, we routinely attract weirdo psychopaths at the rate of one (or more) per year. What we have come to learn is that 99% of them will flame out and go somewhere else when they don't get the calculated responses they were looking for.
Take the emotion out. This is a business forum. Don't feed the trolls. Don't let your emotions flow through you onto your keyboard aimed at any one poster in particular. Ignore the clowns, and they will eventually get filtered out by the forum. They won't get the high they were seeking, and they will go looking for it somewhere else. Don't give them what they were looking for.
Mostly, don't ask us to babysit interpersonal conflicts. The Fast Lane Forum is a unique oasis in the midst of the wild west of the internet. Our members treat each other differently, and jackasses tend to find themselves on the sidelines wondering why nobody gives a shit how witty their snark was. As moderators, our job is to focus on keeping this place clear of rule violating derelicts. You guys can take care of the rest simply by how you respond.
And... that's life. @MJ DeMarco, @Runum, @AroundTheWorld, @AllenCrawley or any other mods if I misspoke or understated anything, please feel free to correct it. I am just sick of seeing alerts in the back office from regular users wanting us to intercede because their feelings got hurt. Toughen up and learn to filter legit interest and legit criticism from jackasses, and you will be fine.
