Today I had another disagreement with my wonderful entrepreneurship teacher. I was creating an income statement. The final total left me with a salary of 30,000$ (for one year), with 50,000$ in positive cash flow to reinvest into my company via expansion.
My teacher preceded to tell me that my personal salary should be in the range of 60,000$, leaving me with only 20,000$ for improvements.
I told him that sacrifices on my part were in order, for the bettering of my company, and ultimately myself in the future (salary wise).
He proceeded to tell me to get out of the class.
While in the hall I crunched the numbers, and determined that I could in fact live comfortable on the 30K, while reinvesting the rest of the companies profits.
My question is;
"Would it be better to;
a. Have a larger salary, while reinvesting less to build my company
b. Have a lower salary, while reinvesting more to build my company.
