The power of a FTE (& this forum)

Hello everyone,
Today I would like to talk about my experience after having had what I would definitely call a "FTE".
While I don't feel comfortable talking about the exact details of this event (let's just say it was pathetic, embarrassing & stupid...), it happened about 30 days ago. While I had similar things happen before, this time was different: I was so sick of my own bullshit, I decided to record a 30 minute long audio for myself, ranting about all my flaws, idiocy, laziness, etc... - Basically all the bad stuff I could fix but don't because I forget about it during my daily life or simply choose to ignore it.
I started to listen to it over and over again and something just clicked - I started to actually do things to improve, tired of being the person described in the audio.

So, in the last 30 days, I:
- got a well-paying full-time job (to build a financial base & get out there a bit)
- finally finished my car license (there was no reason besides laziness I couldn't have done it earlier)
- enrolled to uni to learn IT (now before anyone says anything: it's dirt cheap (<3000$), I want to move to another city & build contacts)
- completely quit all forms of social media & gaming, sold my console
- did lots of things that I would consider "out of my comfort zone" (Thank you @MTF for your beautiful "Ode to discomfort"-thread)
- got my first 2 clients for video-editing work (Thank you @Andy Black)
- overcame a lot of my mental blockades/barriers (Thanks to many posts in this absolute gold-mine of a forum)
- started to fix my credit-score so I can start my real estate journey next year (or as early as my credit-score lets me...)

I basically did more last month than I did the 6 months before that... Kinda crazy to think about that.
While I might not quite be in the Fastlane yet, I at least finally got off the sidewalk.
Let's see where this goes!

P.

Not crazy at all. Congratulations and welcome to the "new you".

Also, in a years time if you continue the same progress, you can review your video and be incredibly proud of what you achieved, and how far you've come.

Amazing!
Congratulations for making this leap.

In the future, you might be tempted to slip back into the old habits or lose motivation.
If and when that happens, just watch that video and see the HELL that awaits you if you decide not to do the things you know you need to do, in order to become the person you truly want to be.

Best of luck, and keep us updated!

Thank you!
My guess is I will probably cringe pretty bad about it in a year, but that's a good sign

Thank you very much!
I've made rewatching it a habit and I hope that'll keep me clean :D
