*Do not* use shopify lite to sell on facebook
Shopify and facebook just weren't meant to be merged together.
All this hassle with the accounts connecting, self-disconnecting
Things not showing up
'Not allowed' for some bizarre reason
Not showing up in the right order
Difficulty sharing products on the 'Home' part of the page.
The second mistake I made was that I spent too long on the actual store without trying to merge first and actually testing the payment flow etc etc before continuing to add more products.
What I'm left with now, is a 'complete' store on shopify (which I spent a lot of time on), and is only partially showing up on facebook in a less-than-ideal way.
Oh, and I should have starting selling right from the beginning before completing the store, and I could have took advantage of the free trial period!!
It seems if you want to sell on facebook, it's better to use the facebook shop itself, which was actually built FOR facebook.
I wonder if shopify basic is any better..
I noticed there's an option to get a 'shopify expert' to walk you through the steps.. but I'm not sure if it's actually worth it?
Anyone tried?
I think a lot of you who're way more experienced would know this already, but just wanted to share / vent my frustrations right now.
Bare with this newbie pls..
