I am asking for knowledge and I am not trying to be rude here ->
If you neither had the experince in industry nor had capital , what skills you bring to the table for the partnership If I wantt to go a similar route what individual competency I have to develop?
I mean how can a young peniless entrepreneur who can he start a business with employees & deep pockets and partnerships
skills & years of experience takes time to develop , deep pockets come from networks and credibility and employees too, how did you do it?
it would be a mistake to try to repeat someone else’s path, but as a general observation to guide you on your own journey… here’s my answer:
Not all industries need large capital. Mine does.
And I didn’t come with nothing. I had some capital, just not to the scale I wanted for our business.
Expertise as a broad term is often misunderstood. Did I have zero experience? No. Did I have in-depth technical expertise? No.
What did I bring to the table?
1. My ability to pitch and negotiate. This was and remains invaluable in our industry. Some call it “sales” but to me that term seems inaccurate.
2. Ability to make good judgment calls (especially under pressure). Surprisingly few people can do this.
3. Clear thinking. I can review a complex matter and explain it in simple terms. This helps a lot because people who are typically very strong with technical knowledge, struggle to explain things simply. This is a problem because it’s hard to make good decisions until you know how to get to the core issue. Being lost is what I see a lot with “programmers want to turn entrepreneurs” crowd.
The list goes on… but again, it’s not about me or my journey. It’s about what you can and should do to succeed. Mindset matters. If you feel you are missing something and it’s unattainable - you are right., you won’t attain it.
Not sure how I can help here. You don't need deep pockets to build a lifestyle business. It's tempting to think that you can throw money at something and it'll work but for semi-passive income producing streams, usually it's time and effort.
Funny because I see an enterprise business exactly like a job![]()
I tagged you because the OP is similar to you in views and very different from me. We don’t need to debate lifestyle businesses - whatever you say, you are right.
