Hi All,
I've been browsing around this community for the past few days and must say I love the energy here. Would love to help as much as I can with what I know and learn as much as I can from everyone here. I've been recently accepted into the Start-up Jamaica Business Incubator bootcamp for a pitch I made for a payroll app specifically for Jamaica. The interface has been designed but not a single line of code has been written and the bootcamp is in September. My 5 year old laptop just died (blue screen of death), I have exactly US$613.00 in savings and make the equivalent of US$800 per month.

A few me facts:
Current Lane: Slow...(9-5 in Human Resources)
Passions: Design, writing, start-ups, creative thinking
Businesses ideas: Hundreds
Businesses started: Dozens
Businesses executed to revenue earning stage: Zero
Strengths: Creativity, Very fast learner, energy, nothing to loose
Challenges: Taking Action, Confidence, Wantrepreneurship
Goals: Fast Lane recurring revenue of US$5000 per month in a year.

Just keep at it! I have a sticky note on my computer that says "If someone says no, ask why". I have found that the first few no's are nothing more than hesitation. I know this is common knowledge, but its easy to forget in the hustle of things. Don't take no for an answer and keep trudging forward. Welcome to the community!

I always heard, "I don't know what you're going to do." You'll find a lot of people that stare at the problem, but don't know how to problem solve to begin with. "I heard go figure it out for yourself." I did, they haven't. You'll do fine if you find people that know how to problem solve. You can tell by the comments they make. It's all learning process. I'm sure you've already learned a lot. Just stay positive and look for solutions instead of problems.

Thanks for the encouragement guys...I really appreciate it. Its so easy to feel like you're all alone with your big dreams and the little voice in your head asking "why me" gets loud sometimes. Totally loving the camaraderie in this community already.
