Should I sell single or multiple products in my niche?

Hello all, after months of prototyping and testing, my invention is finally ready for mass production. I invented something in the Golf niche, a single product. I plan on selling through my own ecommerce website, and since I'm already doing FBA, I'll sell on amazon too.

My question is, on my own ecommerce website, should I sell other items on my site or just the product I invented?

Thanks!

If you incorporate your website URL in your labels, or embedded in your product, you won't be contravening Amazon's TOS, but some of your customers will go to your site even if only out of curiosity.

It would be a pity to waste that traffic, so I would display other products there. Give them a reason to come back, such as by offering discounts, and even offering to inform them when your next special deals for existing customers will be on your site.

If you need help with labeling including embedding in your product, just ask.

@Walter Hay is right - not offering website and something more at it would be a unnecessary waste.

Look up "up-sells" and "down-sells" on google or just offer plain complementary products at your own store/webpage.

I've been wondering about this as well. I'm working on a new product and I've identified a few different "variants" I can sell at different prices that have different features. I would think having multiple versions of your product (even if the differences are small) would be better than selling your product among a few other company's products for fear of yours getting "lost" amongst the others.

Whichever way you do it, selling multiple products could help with price anchoring, so that's a plus.
